Nitrogen deficiency?

Hi all,

no sooner have i finished talking to rockman about nutrient plans etc (on the transplant post) when i notice yellow lower leaves - is this nitro deficiency?

Our situation is odd as there are no garden centres etc here and we cannot order off the net as it'll never come.

I've been giving nutrient tea every 2nd watering and today i added tea and coffee grounds to the soil and watered a little to aid transport to the roots.

What do we think - is it defo nitro deficiency, does anyone have any ideas for natural (i.e. not bought) fixes? I've been on the net for high nitro natural things and coffee grounds seems the easiest.

thanks kindly folks

I'm not sure how hardcore you are but nitrogen and phosphorus are put quite simply shit. Use your imagination. Peoplel where you live grow food right? How?

surely they do - i'm living with the natives and they also tell me we cannot buy fertiliser. internet doesn't list anything - there's no yellow pages - it's pretty frustrating.

don't worry - i'll figure something- this isn't a "growing weed" problem more just a wider part of a "cannot buy" problem. Probably wrong place to ask stupid questions.

like that - i put a cup of piss on my compost a few days ago - why the hell not (may dilute to avoid burning it) - thanks

Piss must be mixed with water at a 20 parts water for 1 part piss.

Get some epsom salts- and use it every 4-5 weeks in small doses. Not nitrogen, but helps mobilize nitrogen.

Neem cake is a about 4 (%) nitrogen.
