Nigerian Elephant. Heard of it?

About 18 years ago, a friend gave me some black buds. Sticky stuff. He called it "Elephant" and got it from a friend just back from Nigeria.
I tried it. One hit. Could hardly move,. My friend said they call it elephant because after one hit you feel like an elephant is sitting on your chest.
Yes, they had a lot of trouble selling it. My free sample lasted close to a year. It was a real sedative. My concern was that it was treated with something. Which I'm not a fan of.
I've had real Thai stick (straight out of Viet Nam, early '70's) and this stuff was way more immobilizing.
So I mention out of curiosity and warning.
 
More like narcotic and sleep inducing. I could have given the last bit away 'cause I got tired of looking at it in my stash box.
Or maybe it was some of the best medical cannabis around. Haven't heard of it or seen any since.
Has anybody let a flower mature to the point most of the trichomes are amber? Doesn't that also add to the sleep inducing effects?
Trying to avoid that.
 
Yes, that produces the couch-lock effect. Good sedative for insomniacs. I don't really look for that either.
