Newbie grower in the desert.

Hey everybody! I'm 100% new to growing, I know very very little about it, but I am working to change that. I would like to start growing soon in a small room (5'x13'x8') it was a pool equipment storage room off my garage. I am leaning towards getting an LED light, but I am curious about the climate here in the Arizona desert. The heat and cold swings can get pretty crazy here, and it's not a climate controlled room. What kinds of things would I need, a "shopping list" if you will, to grow successfully? Any help is GREATLY appreciated. Thank you!

No kidding all our neighbors who grew under cover we all placed them " loud and out " first summer of being legal. Careful now though little teenage turds got a bit greedy :noooo: Congrats to AZ
