First off HAPPY NEW YEARS EVERYONE AT GWE Forum!!!!🎉🎉. Been here 3 years!! Woop woop! So to celebrate....I been smoking on that Blue Dream🔥🔥🔥 The Tangie 🔥🔥 The cutting I took off my dad's weed plant... Surprisingly 🔥. But man that blue dream with those berries on jet fuel holy damn. The Tangie like an orange farted and so sticky my grinder hates me for it. So because everything turned out so great and the next is looking even better I'm going BIG!!! Since I may not be growing during the summer( but what else am I supposed to do 🤷‍♂️). I wanna go out with a bang!!

Second, an update on the current ladies. They are on day 56 since flipping to 12hr. This is the early harvest date for 3 of the cultivars. The Mandarin Zkittlez looks like it's still getting fatter and maturing. The orange gassy terps on her MGL she smells amazing!!!! If I brush my hand on a leaf, not even the bud, it smells like dank orange. I'm so freaking hype about this flower. I never grew nothing that looks out smells this amazing 😱
The UG has stopped growing and looks like she's maturing. She smells like cherries. Maybe Cherry licorice with some frankincense/ light tobacco notes maybe. She was a freebie and turned into a pleasant surprise. The breeder website didn't really have any info about this particular cross so I want sure what I was going to get. But I love cherry and she smells delicious!!
Lady Lucy is the CBD White Widow. She's a beast. She looks lovely, she's finally picking up some nice lemony light citrus terps. She's not frosty like the other 2 from Ethos but she's also a 1:1 so she's going to look different but man it looks like there's going to be like 6oz on her. She's got some color up top and fading from the bottom. She's also a 56 to 70 day bloomer so she'll be finishing up in the next 2 weeks I bet.
The last is the GSC. She's finally blooming nicely. She's on day 65 of life ...ILGM days 10 to 14 weeks. She's def not going to be ready in 5 days. She only started blooming 20 days ago. She's def suffering some great stress. Hopefully getting all the inline fans hooked up and running will address the heat issues and keep things steady. She was looking yellow so I put a top dress of some Gaia green and she def picked up some color and started growing well but might be a bit spicy in there. Never had any good results with ILGM seeds. Especially with these GSC seeds. If I had known I would have gotten another Girl Scout cookie seed from my order from NASC, I would have waited and just planted that one......out of 5 seeds, 2 were mutants and never bloomed even under 12 hr, 2 grew severely stunted and this is the 5th seed.

Def looking like we're 2-3 weeks out for the UG and Mandarin. Probably the same for the White widow CBD. Hopefully by then, the GSC should be getting close. It's looking like it's going to be a really good harvest. Easily a QP per plant.

To start off the New Year, I figure it was appropriate to try a few new things. For the first time, 5/7 gal FABRIC POTS! I resisted these for years but I see the benefits. Mixed with a wicking system, organic amendments and just plain water all the way through. I got the AC Infinity Self Watering XL bases for my birthday 🎂. (Friend and family been loving all the gifted greens in return they've been helping me upgrade my whole grow. I couldn't have done it without them. I have too many medical bills to be able to afford all this equipment, seeds, amendments and everything else. I'm truly blessed 🙏 with the best friends and family) Thankfully the bases fit ... Barely. In the 2x3 they're going to have to face the lip into the corners since the tent is missing 4 inches. In the 2x4 I should be able to squeeze 2 of the XL bases plus one of the regular 5gal bases. 5 plants. 3 autos, 2 photos.

Not only is this a first for the ACI bases and the fabric pots but I'm also going to be testing some different soil combos and nutrients to see what I like better. I'll also be doing my first ever cover crop. Everyone just pitched in and got me so many different things. I figure I give it a go. So here's the grand plan

In the 2 x 4 tent

1. Photo - Barney's Farm - Pineapple Express
Medium - peat/perlite/castings 1:1:1. 7 gal
Nutrients- Coots Soil Mix(with a few additions like bio char)

2. Photo - Blimburn - MAC #1
Medium - peat/perlite/castings 2:1:1. 7 gal
Nutrients - Gaia Green All purpose, Power Bloom, Basalt Rock Dust and Glacial Rock Dust as per directions. Also added ag lime, oyster shell, gypsum and dolomite lime

3. Auto - Blimburn - Sweet Zombie
Medium - Coco/perlite/castings 2:1:1 5gal
Nutrients - Nature's Living Soil Autoflower 2oz/gal instead of recommended 3.2oz. I noticed it runs hot on nitrogen and needs more calcium so I also add basalt, glacial, ag lime, oyster shell, gypsum and dolomite lime. This will address the calcium and magnesium needs as well as keep the Coco buffered.

In the 2 x 3 tent

1. Auto - Blimburn - Purple Gelato
Medium - Coco/perlite/castings 2:1:1 7gal Nutrients - Nature's Living Soil Autoflower 2oz/gal instead of recommended 3.2oz. I noticed it runs hot on nitrogen and needs more calcium so I also add basalt, glacial, ag lime, oyster shell, gypsum and dolomite lime.
..... It's a big bag and I've had it for almost a year now.....I want to finish this NLS so we're running 2 according to their instructions on their website with some adjustments.......

2.Auto - 420 Fast Buds - Tangie (Redemption)
Medium - peat/perlite/castings. 1:1:1. 7gal
Nutrients - Coots mix with some additions.

If I had space I would test one more auto with the Gaia but that will have to wait until the next grow. I already have the soil mixed up and ready to go. I really want to expand the flavors and choices of morning/afternoon/evening cultivars.

I also got this camera for Christmas. I noticed it has video time lapse and photo time lapse and good quality for both video and pictures. Waterproofing so it can be inside the tent. I'm going to do some really nice videos. Really going to document this next grow from seed to harvest. It's going to give me something fun and productive to do. Keep me motivated and distracted from my health..

I'll be planting the seeds Jan 14-16. The next adventure starts!!

If anyone's grown any of these cultivars or used any of these methods or soil mixed or nutrients and you have any tips, I'm all ears.

It's going to be A Lot of Firsts Part 2. The last Plenty of Firsts was a big success. I LOVE the Earth Boxes! I look forward to growing in them again. It was too easy.... The most hands off grow, lazy grow. I got a good feeling about the fabric pots and wicking bases. I wanna keep the good stuff going and get better and better each time.

Happy New Year No3odiesShad0w

Well congrats on bringing in the new year with a decent and nicely grown harvest. Well done.

Looking forward to seeing all this new stuff working for you and learning about this new stuff.

I bet you're loving that blue dream.

Oh man that blue dream really is a dream! When it comes to more stimulating sativa heavy types, it's my go to. No paranoia or anxiety. No doomies or feeling of dread like I get with some cultivars. I'm super glad I let it go an extra 2 weeks because man the taste the terps. So much good and this run is looking like it's going to finish off even better. So I'm very pleased with current state of things. I been watching that VPD line a hawk and that chart you linked has been super helpful. I'm even offsetting it by using one of those temperature guns and making sure I got the proper leaf temperature not just the air temp.

Not only fun but super rewarding. At first everybody was just "being nice" they don't want to take my medicine away from me lololol because it wasn't good. Now that the flower is fire, everyone wants a pinch 🤣

Glad it's working for you. Those sativas have definitely got it all going on and I'm getting similar feedback re zero anxiety which is a big one for many I know..

After a couple of months of curing it's really going to bring those wonderful full body feelings & overall sense of well being home.

Here's a fun photo throwback for the new year. This is from about 3.5 years ago. Before i came onto this site. I had just bought myself a Mars Hydro TS600, which at the time MH was claiming their 100w LED light was equivalent to a 600w HPS light. Since i knew about HPS lights i figured i could grow 3-4 plants under a 600w equivalent light. Basically the lights caused the plants to stretch like crazy because they weren't getting enough PPFD The stalk and stems were so thin i needed supports all around; as you see on the other plants. This one in particular was holding up so I never put any kind of support under it. I had just watered the plants 15 minutes ago and came back to the room to find the one plant laying on the floor. After it had gotten a drink of water it got too heavy to be supported by its own stalk and it just fell over. 🤣🤣🤣 Just imagine my reaction walking into this room and seeing it laying flat on the floor 🤣🤣 I didn't know whether to laugh or cry. Now I look back at it and see it as a silly learning lesson. But it would take a few more months before i realized the light was causing the problem and that MH had lied.

Meanwhile i got my nursery ready and everything else for my next grow. Popping seeds in the next few days

OMG 2 DAY ALERT!!! 2 DAY ALERT!!!!!! ,😱🪴🎊🎉🗡️🪓

The Mandarin Zkittlez and the UG are both coming down in about 2 days!!!! Starting to see some amber trichomes on them. Not to mention, they're not drinking water as much, leaves keep browning up and dying. The leaves that are left are an amazing purple color.😍. That cold snap we had really brought out the purple. It's looking like Day 70 (Day 76 since I flipped to 12 hrs) is going to be Chop Day!!!

The White Widow CBD is just about there too. She's all purple all over. She's got an amazing fade going, the buds are golf balls sized all over. I still see new white hairs popping up all around but the trichomes are telling a different story. Still has clear ones. She's going to be another week maybe. The GSC next to her is really trying to catch up. She's really getting fat fast and man is she terpy af.

The smell in that room is just out of this world.. . .. They should make an air freshener that smells like that. I would buy it 😅👍. Like dank fruit salad. By far my best grow. These earth boxes are winners!!

Now I can also finally pop all the seeds I wanted to pop. Imagine if I popped then in December like I wanted to.....I would have been hurting. I'm glad I waited and followed through. That blue dream that I gave an extra 2 weeks came out so good, i need to be patient. Patience Produces Perfection!

420 this year gonna be 🔥AF oh man oh man oh man ......

Mister you've done it again. Great yields looks like and healthy full on growing. This is why we learn to grow our own :)

GWE and GWE Forum has been a huge part of the learning process. Getting to share my wins and fails. All my experiments that were doomed to fail and others that pleasantly surprised me. I still have so many experiments and plans for the future I hope my health holds out because I'm only just getting started.

Since we are only days away from chopping 3 out of 4 plants, THIS is the perfect time to get the next ones started. It'll give me the chance to clean and sanitize everything. It'll give me the chance to move the light fixtures around. And it'll give me the chance to permanently set up those tents and get the cable management in order. Watching that VPD gave me AMAZING results.🤓 The Earth Boxes gave me AMAZING results. I'm hoping I'll get similar results with the AC Infinity bases and fabric pots. If not, I'll double down on the Earth Boxes and get 2 more for rotation. If they work then I'll have the perfect rotation system. I want to start doing 2 or 3 seeds of a cultivar so I can see all the differences in phenos. I wanna give synthetic growing another chance. So much to do and not enough space to do it. I'm already at max in that room both on space and electrical usage. To do anymore, I would have to add 2 more outlets with their own breaker switches and blah blah blah. Expensive stuff that won't happen.

So to maximize that space I'm going to do a mostly photo grow. You may have noticed from the picture that the line up has changed. I decided to swap the purple gelato auto and sweet Zombie auto. In their place I'm going to grow a Blue Dream from Blimburn and Cheese from Barney's Farm; both of which are photos. I consistently get better results with photos. I get double the yield and I'm not left guessing about the super unreliable flowering times(at least from the autos I've grown. I.e. the GSC in growing says 9-10 weeks but I'm on day 82 and she still looks like she needs 3 weeks. With photos when it says 65 days it's generally ready right at that time) Not to mention the stunting with autos of anything goes wrong. The only auto I'm leaving is the Tangie I NEED MORE of that one. Last grow was too hot. This one should be perfect. Same with the blue dream. This one came out so 🔥 that I NEED more. The 3oz won't last long when it's my favorite smoke.

OMG!!!!! IT'S DONE!!! I never got this much weed off of 3 plants......I never got 🔥🔥🔥 weed like this PERIOD.

The Mandarin was 22.6oz wet full plant. After drying and trimming maybe 6oz +/-

The UG was 19.7oz so maybe I'll get 3-4oz

Last was Lucy at a whopping 38oz !!!!! She's gonna be like 8+oz after drying. Gotta be.

I never had a tent to dry in so I'm hoping it's going to go well. I have the inline set to the lowest speed and I have the ports closed so there no one spot that is sucking air in. The lung room in keeping between 56 and 58 % humidity. Inside the tent it's showing 62%. It'll be a bit on the highest side for the first few days but it will level off. Temp is at 68. Not the best temp but I'm sure it will drop off to about 66ish. I still have the GSC in the other tent and my seedling so I can't let it get to cold.

The Tangie was the seed I was worried about but it's the first seed to pop. I see a lot of soil disturbance and I see a little pop of green. By tomorrow morning I'm sure it will be visible as well as possible a few others. The blue dream and cheese seeds were already cracked open when I was planting them. I hope they didn't drown. If after 4 days I don't see anything then I'll just plant another seed. Should be fine. I'm always in my head about the seeds but I have a near perfect germination rate.

Man I can't wait to smoke some of this bud. The terpenes says exactly the kinds I look for. And if it's anything like the blue dream, I'm gonna be a happy camper. That blue dream I'm never gonna shut up about it..... It's so amazingly good!!! Hell yeah. 3 years of struggling and growing and throwing everything in the trash.... Finally... FINALLY I have amazing buds.

Congrats.

Isn't it a wonderful feeling when you get your grow into the window and then harvest a good amount.

Err on the slow side with the dry. First time I used the grow room to dry I accidentally did it twice as fast as ideal and 3 times faster than I wanted and I over dried it...duh.

I've got seeds and seedlings under domes atm. As far as I am concerned this is the worst time for me re worry and anxiety and sometimes things just don't work out which flows through down the line. 🤞

Well I used to just put it under my makeshift tent. Insert my work bench to dry but I couldn't fit those 3 monsters. I don't have any fans or anything on in the 2x4. Just the inline on the lowest speed otherwise the air will just sit there. Even then I'm worried about having it on all the time. So far humidity in there has been good right at 61 and temp is at 67 which I'm happy about.

If the humidity dips below 60 the inline turns off. It's only 60 and above that it's running
