New vape

Thanks for the tip starramus. I looked the Flowermate up at that site, it didn't say anything about smoking hash in it. I've tried my wife's Q a couple of times, but just don't like the taste. Just personally think a joint or a pipe makes good weed taste the best. I would like to find a vaporizer that I could use to discretely smoke a little hash when I'm out and about. So can you smoke hash in any vaporizer made for smoking dry herb?
 
Thanks for the tip Joker, looks like a good machine. Don't know why hash wouldn't work in it. Hope this finds you full of Christmas dinner and having a fine Christmas day.
 
My first set up was called Magic Flight it worked well. I stopped using the Magic Flight after I got my Volcano Still have the Magic Flight and yes I will recommend it as a simple and portable unit. Magic Flight has a LIFETIME replacement.
 
I'm like alot of peeps here-vaping just doesn't give me the same sensation as smoking. It's almost like taking a edible-the hi seems to creep up but it does rip. If my lungs could take the abuse I would prefer smoking but vaping is almost as good-IMO.
 
If the vape gets hot enough apparently you can smoke hash in it. My wife doesn't smoke hash so i cannot confirm that the Flowermate will work. According to the specs. the Flowermate will reach 415 degrees Farenheit which should do the trick. Has three heat settings. The Flowermate has a high battery capacity as well as it contains two batteries delivering 2600 mAH which is a big plus. The price at $83.00 is great too. It seems well built for the money and she has not had any trouble with it after almost 2 years use.

This might help cuz I can't. I haven't smoked any hashish since 1971 when vapes didn't exist. Apparently this guy I am quoting is an expert.

"Now, another thing: Hash works wonderfully well in a vaporizer. Just break it up well before you load it in. The only real difference in vaporizing it is the temperature you use to smoke it out.


For hash, the temperature for vaporizing starts off higher (at about 420 degrees) and ends higher. I fill up a couple bags at 420, then turn it up to 450 (and fill a couple bags), then 480 ... and ending at 520.


For regular bud, the starting temperature is 370. And the top temperature is about 490. If you happen to accidently hit 520, the pot will start burning (avoid it if you can). But hash is just resin, and therefore, doesn't burn until about 550 degrees." I hope this helps you.

Thanks starramus. You have been most helpful. The Flowermate will reach 520 degrees? What do you do with your trimmings? Dry ice hash is very easy to make. I was at a friend's house several years ago, one of his friends walked into the house with a Folger's coffee can filled with hash. I thought I'd died and gone to heaven. I hadn't seen hash myself since about '71 either. My brother was in Germany in the Army. They had tons of hash but no pot. I'd send him an ounce of weed, he'd send me back an ounce of hash. I got the better end of that deal. They usually mixed their hash with tobacco. Waste of good hash if you ask me. Anyway, the guy with the can full of hash turned out to be the local hash maker. We got to be friends and he taught me how to make good bubble hash. Now we only make dry ice hash. Superior hash and much less trouble. Been there done that. We called them German joints. Would take 9 papers and glue them together and roll a huge cone. You would smoke it vertically between the index and middle finger toking through your curled hand. I hung out with a group of returning Vietnam vets waiting to ETS. My first night in the in transit barracks I was invited to get high. The entire barracks reeked of hashish. I said to myself this ain't gonna be so bad. I have never seen so much hash in my life, and I have never seen anything like the black hash found there. Very hallucinogenic stuff it was. I don't know about the Flowermate and hash. I contacted vaporseller about it, but have not heard back yet. The published highest temp for the Flowermate is 415 deg. Probably make more sense for you to just use a hash pipe.
