HELP! New to this, and have many questions...

No, but I am familiar with the issues surrounding it.
I grow cannabis in Coco. However, I have a pretty extensive background in gardening and horticulture. Including biodynamic, agro-ecology, and organic farming.
But I have no personal experience with cannabis in kindsoil.
Others here do, and you should get traction on your other post.
 
The "trans-planter" is because they open up with velcro. So you can much more easily transplant and you can still re-use the bags.
 
I use KindSoil, and you don't flush the KindSoil, if you do. You wash away, all of the nutrients in the KindSoil, you don't water, to run-off either. For the same reason
You put the KS. In the bottom, half of your pot, and something like FFOF, on the top half of the pots
That way you don't burn your plants
Read KindSoil instructions ,it's easy to use. Just don't water to run-off
I,or flush your plants
 
D.A.A.S.69 I had only recommended that he might want to flush the soil for the seedlings a little because he was concerned that it might be too hot. He knows not to water to run-off as a general practice.
What do you think of the idea of pre-flushing a little kindsoil to reduce the heat for seedlings in solo cups - and then transplanting into straight kindsoil?
 
Hey Camp, KindSoil will burn up the seedlings, that's why you don't ever start your seedlings in KindSoil.
There is a warning on the KindSoil box, don't start seedlings in KindSoil.
You fill half your pot with KindSoil on the bottom half. And you use something else ,in the top half of the pot. Something like RootsOrganic or I use FFOF, on top of the KindSoil , never had it burn my seedlings with that either.
I remember Calikid, started his seedlings in KindSoil, and it got burnt up.KindSoil is strong ,but you use it on the bottom half of your pots. So by the

time the roots get in the Kindsoil, they
are fine, and don't burn up.
Phil has got instructions on the KindSoil package, it's so easy, even I can follow, those instructions, lol
 
Right, but preflushing should reduce the heat.

I think you start in final containers, right? ... If you start in solo cups as part of a transplant regime, instead of "layers", I think you would just use different media (or different treatments) at each transplant stage.
So, I would do it like this
1. Solo cups (with pre-flushed kind soil - or pre-flushed FFOF)
2. 3-gallon transplanter fabric pots (with straight kindsoil)
3. 10-gallon fabric pot (with straight kindsoil)

FWIW I think that FFOF can burn seedlings too if it isn't pre-flushed to lower heat
 
For what it's worth, I've used FFOF, many times and never burned any of my plants or seedlings. It's not strong at all. Ask PhilKind.
You don't mess with the KindSoil, you put it on bottom, something else on top.
I've done it both ways, transplanting an also plant straight in final pots, and l like final pots a lot better than transplanting, regardless of all the transplanting ideas. Some transplant ,some dont, not a big difference either way, I ain't in no hurry anyway.
I like to start autoflowers, in final pots.Everyone does things differently.
Ps, plus I think PhilKind has been growing longer than, most everyone I know, and he has tried it all, on top of his Kindsoil, he says FFOF, is not hot at all, it's got bugs and usually the ph is way off.
Read some of his articles ,and you will see, what he thinks, and he's been right too.
He is constantly trying, new soils, to see what works best on top of his Kindsoil, he likes coco-loco, an RootsOrganic, last time I checked.

Greenpassion, that's a cool name, I'm in Ms. But you can make your own soil, supersoil or living soil, real easy and it's even kinda fun too, if you got a place to do it. It doesn't have to be a big place either..
Read up on it, it's not hard to do, then you want need to be buying nutrients any more.
Plus lots of people think it even tastes better, grown organic,

Next, you have to click on the tab that says "account"
On that page you can add a signature and adjust your time zone

Thank you D.a.a.s.69! I have a LOT of orchids, and a good variety of other not so common plants here. And yea, I've read about how to make your own super soil, right here on GWE. With all the work of my orchids, dogs and my house, I m opting for the next best thing-buying it🙄 So I'm goi g to get it on Amazon in the next few days, and tomorrow I'm buying the seeds from Nervana, another tip from reading this forum.
 
Greenpassion, that sounds like a great plan, good luck, you can't go wrong with KindSoil, as long as you don't overwater, and make sure that your water is 6.0-7.0ph.
He has got good instructions on the box, how to use it.
Plus, Phil will even send you free bags of KindSoil, for some of your bud pictures , he is really a nice guy, very smart too, that is proud of his product, and I would be too, it works great.
