That's great info weedpharma but there's a couple things that could be better, if ur lights to far away from the seedling the plant will strech and the stem wount be strong enough to hold any leave and buds up. U will have to move ur light as the plant grows or u will either strech it to much or u will burn the light from being to close. If u use perlight in the soil u dnt have to worry about over watering and it also gives ur roots more oxygen. If u wanna keep ur plant small a 2-3gal pot will be fine but if u want the full potential out of ur plant u need a biger pot so u dnt get root bound. (yes exsperince growers dnt always need as big of pot but as a beginer starting in a bigger pot is easyier) yes u can use a 20/4 light but it al depends on the strain of the plant because sativa and hybrids need more than indicas. Both photos and autos can both be grown without any extra nutes in any soil it's just a booster for optium growing conditions. The pH Of water and soil is best tested by each person. It's best to find what works best for you. I don't mean for u to take this the wrong way I just think he should know why to do certain things.

Make sure to get perlight when u go to the store u will need the areogation for drainage of the water and also helps bring more oxygen to ur roots so ur plant can breath. :)

@tyler_ hobbyist - I understand that generally that holds true, but there are some very important differences from what you are saying, that won't need doing.

LED's have very specific ranges- as the intensity and penetration is more than other light options.
In this example, the seed will be in the 24"-30" range once sprouted @ 26" and once it grow only 2 " it will be in the vegetative range of 18"-24" and once it is 10" it will be in the bloom range of 12-18" which is the only time it needs to be adjusted, if it reaches 16" tall.

Roots Organic Original already has enough perlite in it- and it is not advisable to increase it as the soil mixture is heavily amended with organic nutrients and you would taking away the plants food . (
Ingredients: Coco fiber, peat moss, perlite, pumice, premium worm castings, bat guano, kelp, fish bone meal, soybean meal, feather meal, greensand, leonardite and alfalfa meal.)

Because it is an organic grow- then pH is far less an issue and flushing is not required either. Also, watering is done until it just runs out - tears- not the 10-20% run off, often seen.

In regards to the pot size- the tent is only 16" X 16" x 48" so keeping the plant size in balance with the light and soil can be attained by not using a pot larger than 3gal allowing space for the plant to grow.

I took no offense, as I was presenting a simple, easy way for a first successful grow.

That is great info :) the only things I like to do different is, in seed/sprout I keep my light about 18inchs away from the soil as I dnt like it when the plants stretch and I find with led lights 18 inchs is perfect for autos not to stretch. Personal preference I find this works best for me with my 600w 1000w 1200w lights. As with the ROO yes it has perlight but more will only help. If u LST the plant u can grow a full tent with one plant in a 5gal. I personaly have noticed if ur roots don't have enough space the plant becomes very small. This is just my exsperince that's why I recomend a 5gal or bigger and lst training, I personaly dnt like toping but this would help him as well so the plant gets more bushier and not as high

i too grew up in the favre era. i actually liked watching him play before i even really got all that in to football. such joy.

DUDE, could not BELIEVE he went to the vikes....and i'm a casual fan of him and the pack...can only imagine how that went down in GB!!!

'Aints all the way lol.....esp '09....god, that was so wonderful and will never happen again.

from a purely spectator point of view i also enjoy watching the browns browns all over themselves EVERY YEAR. and sometimes it's fun to see jerrah spin his 'coahboahs are still 'merica's team, byah gawd' while being caught w/pics of strippers BS.... :)

High humidity is only bad in flowering and u will notice leaves produce RH but the fan/ air curculation will take care of that for u. I will post a RH chart for ya it's only optium RH if it's lower it's fine I grow at 30-40RH my whole grow because of were I live, and I'm to cheap to spend 200 bucks on a humidifyer where I'm from lol

U can grow at lower RH I do it just makes ur plants drink a bit more

Looks good bro. Keep in mind once the plant is in there the temps will change a bit specially when watered.. where is your hot air blowing out too?

Hey PF ........Nice and tidy.Good job. Get growing that Green ! Go Packers! Spent some time in Green Bay . No beer on Sunday ! What !!!!

The hot air is coming out of the scrubber. With the tent in my closet hopefully it will be easier to get cool air. It's always cool in there specially in the summer. That's good cause the last few years here have been pretty hot and humid. I get a good supply of fresh cool air. Also have to hid everything cause of the kids. Can't here a thing while it's running, so I've got that covered. Out of sightout of mind.

If the grow is not in flower, you can use the scrubber to help control heat and RH better-
Mine will decrease temp and RH if I disconnect the carbon scrubber and conversely increase temp and RH when connected.

Anyone live close to me? I'm ready to see some green growing. I know someone said don't use the 707 mix of soil, but it's what I got so I'm gonna roll with it.

I was just informed by the wife that I won't be able to grow yet. I have to take her to Boston in the beginning of May for a vacation and a concert. That would put me close to the end of the first grow. I got no one to take care of the plant while I'm gone. That's sucks!

It's an idea but what if u rig up a water pump like 300L/h type and run lines to ur plants and set a timer. So it can self water while ur gone if need be?
