New to growing since my state has legalized it Maine!

Don't look bad, it's hard to tell much before they are fully open, color is light but should darken up once first leaves open and get light. If not then u may have a nutrient problem. If u haven't already seen the GWE Web site check it all, all the detailed info you could ever need. Good luck.

This is what i got for my seedlings right now with 4x 100w cfls 3500k (didn't realise at the time there was a differnce in the light bulbs) and the fan blowing out ward sucking fresh air in through the hole all lined in reflective with water bottles for moisture domes. temp is staying around 84 f is this good for getting them from seedlings into veg state its on a 18/24 schedule right now also. i will be putting an amazon cart together for ordering in the next 2 weeks when i do that can you guys give me some feed back on it. also i'm wondering if hydro is the way to go? i been looking into doesn't seem all that hard and im pretty mechanically inclined. or should my first grow just try soil?

Sorry hadn't seen u posted while i wa writing!! I guess these days are DIY days for everyone!!Im loving the :extraction" unit haha!! Yes it will be good for seedlings but you will need better space as you go,quite soon actually!!
Anything that yu start with and work with is the way to go if you reach it's full capacity! DWC/RWDC is the best feeding/growth style...My Drip/Irrigation system provides a medium for hydro and top-feeds the system..Soil buffers ph and nutes better than either of the previously mentioned and stand as good ground for training the plants as their base is well...in the medium!!
Hydro will come packed with extra needs,Ph/EC meter,Water Temp meter (or a combo of the 3),Water tank heater,Pump for water,Air pump for bubbleponics.Also hydro has Hydroguard to use for the roots and requires more attention to dosing,cleaning and ofc is less forgiving out of the ways to cannabis!
It also provides bigger/faster growing plants people say,i can't speak for myself on this...I believe RDWC is the best way to go if not DWC..
Did i mention inital setup costs? You did ask about the medium/grow style..What about Lights?
If you get HPS,MH the initial setup will be more expensive so i would go for soil (unless u get something like my drip irrigation which i dont recommend)
If you want to dial it in once and for good..you have the budget for it..Go get Leds and DWC/RDWC setup!! I would be happy to help you setup that list of yours!!

I was going to go for HPS and MH 600watt which should cover a 48x48x80 tent for 6 plants. ( i have read the yelds are better from the hps-mh than leds) i was looking into https://www.amazon.com/HTG-Supply-B...rd_wg=Nhq9d&psc=1&refRID=1PXG4JXA9NRGFZ38CTW2 for, DWC. Im looking to spend between 400-600$ on the full system i have looked at the guide for the top fed Hyrdro on the website that looks fairly simple.

Ok for your budget i did a quick research and you landed on a right price for the DWC system!Since you are handy in tech-ing i will tell you what they said in the comments of this product " It comes without drain holes so it's hard to change the solution! You can add them outlets on your own before start the system,just buy outlets with the size you want and you can then just gravity-assisted-empty the tanks/buckets!
MH/HPS will do a great job,i have that myself! But you can get better for the money you are willing to put in! Is that measurement in inches?

May i recommend a led equivalent of better HPS than a 600w?

I started in hydro. Got close to a pound each run in a 4x4 tent under 600w mh/hps and I certainly could have done better. I was all about yields and potency. I have since changed my tune. I'm on my 5th grow now and I'm loving organic growing. Less yields for sure, but the quality is unparalleled. I encourage you to evaluate multiple growing styles if possible. It's the only way to know what suits you best.
If I were to do it again, I would have started with coco and bottled nutes. It's the best of both worlds. I'm still going to do that someday but I'm having a hard time switching, I love the medicine I'm producing! I don't know if I'll ever switch from organic. Clean and tasty!

You do seem to have two sets of nutes though. You'll want to try either the dyna stuff or the flora trio.
Also I have never once used my Ph UP whereas I got through the starter bottle of Ph down pretty quickly. If you buy some cheap test strips ($5 on Amazon) you could establish whether you'll need up or down for your water then just buy a bigger bottle of the one you need.

All 4 of my plants took they are all got 2 leafs each and looking good 2 went over night i will begin ordering parts. from there this week wish it was ez to find more seeds but i can get clones from the dispensary then make my own clones from those also got a clone cart together and a good guide to it are clones worth it once i get the grow stuff?
