New Spider Farmer SF7000 - recommended dimmer levels

I was looking at the new SF7000. While there I noticed they’ve added dimmer level suggestions, which were not in my SF4000’s manual (print or online) when I bought it in October. The level of the dimmer has been an ongoing question mark for so many who own one. Overall what they show is pretty much the same levels I experienced during my grow.

Hey MrPNW me again I run a couple of sf2000 and I have been questioning the instructions on the sf and what I ended up doing is looking at the instructions on other lights and I started going more by them. That's the only problem I've had with sf but that's a big deal because I was burning up my plants. I look at the site now and there's different instructions then were there when I was trying to figure it out, which are the bottom one you have pic there. I still have the books and on the page for suggestions on height doesn't even mention the dimmer, except above it and that about how the daisy chain works. I just bought my second 2000 right before starting this grow and it came with the exact same instructions as my first 2000. I don't know when they changed the instructions but it wasn't very long ago
 
Just saw your answer on other place we were talking figured instead of two conversations I'd come back here. Yes I love the removable driver idea. I bought a tent because I had a little problem with heat in my closet with just one and a couple small blurple lights and thought it would be easier to control the environment. I'm loving the 2000 but like I said above they didn't update the instructions until probably in the past 1-4 weeks. I just figured em out where I'm not burning my plants
 
Oh and I have a sf7000 in my cart on sf website I just can't get a answer on how long for shipping to the US they wrote me back right away like always but just said we only have stock in Australia and pre-order for everywhere else
 
MeEasy, I ordered an SF2000 on Dec 20 as a preorder item and it will be here Monday. I asked them a time frame because I too was curious and they told me preorders usually ship within 20 days. I'm guessing that means business days, so up to 4 weeks. I got my tracking information a few days ago so it was just over 2 weeks for mine. Not sure how relevant that will be for the new light though.

I just noticed you don’t smoke. I don’t either. I originally was using a Firefly 2+ vaporizer, but for the past couple months I’ve been using my Santa Cruz Shredder and putting the coarse grind into capsules. I found a really nice brand on Amazon, size 0 and the cap “clicks” tight when close. I take 3-4 a day of my Pennywise and the effects are far more even and lasts way longer.
My wife (has scleroderma) didn’t want to vape, and when she saw the pills, she changed her mind.
Now I really do need my harvest, my paid for stash is running out fast.

I did see on YouTube that SF had a 4000 grow journal, but was just a video photo slide. They must have used that to add the new dimmer settings info.
 
Do like I did, throw in a giant basil and her favorite flower (the non weed kind) and it will soften the blow.
 
Lol she's the one that smokes most of what I grow so she won't be a problem. The kids will show up to visit and smoke some of their weed from the dispensary and after they leave she tells me that she doesn't want to tell the kids but she wishes they would just come without their ragweed and she would smoke em out. She says I know they're just being nice so I can't tell em anything. I give the kids weed to but those little fuckers will smoke an zip or more a day I don't grow that much. This is supposed to be a hobby 🙄
 
I don't partake at all anymore, for whatever reason any way I've tried it since I had all my heart problems/surgeries I get ill and not just a little i mean I feel like shit my heart will pound I get nauseous start sweating. I don't get it because this MF used to be a POTHEAD
 
I know exactly what you’re talking about. I’m 61, hadn’t used pot since about 22 and a few years ago after some major auto accident causing chronic pain I got a green card to see if it would help with sleep. I went to a weed coop and ask to try something for pain. Whatever they gave me I felt I was going to vomit from dizziness and just sat in my car for a couple hours. There was no way I could drive.
Whatever they gave me wasn’t the enjoyable relaxing high I remember. I thought it was laced with some. I searched and found an article on how all the growers today were all competing to make “super pot.’ This wasn’t the stuff from the pre-80s.
They have say over use of the new breed can really harm a teenager now. You had to look hard to even find the old stuff in the dispensaries because nobody wants it.
I finally found Pennywise which is the coveted 1:1 ratio at around 10% avg. it is so mellow and relaxing, but extremely hard to find when I first discovered it. That was the reason I started to grow. Now I’m looking for strains in that exact range so I can make bonsai mothers of the ones I like.
 
I had friends like that. I could smoke a bong hit or two and be happy. They would want to smoke the bag until it was gone. I couldn’t convince them they would can only get so high. I think they just liked watching themselves bong hits.
 
Before my heart went to shit I had been growing and smoking weed since 83-84 can't remember (wonder why lol) without a problem with it. I had a hard time with my heart it took 5 surgeries to finally get it right. When it was all over I ended up with severe vertigo they say it's from being so long without good blood flow in my brain. That's what I blame it on it's like motion sickness that comes on by simple movements and I think the weed gets it going. Three years after the heart crap found out I have cancer which I just had removed three days ago and 7 weeks ago and a year before that. That's three if it's anything like my heart I have 2 more surgeries to get the cancer all gone.
