Hello, I want to introduce myself...

iam Jonny, 38, from Central Europe (weed legalized in my country).

i was an secret reader of the GWE tutorials and the GWEForum for years. Had taken notes and study the theory of growing kick azz weed. now iam finally taken the step to start it and learn + collect practical experience about it.

for first, I want to thank Nebula and Sirius (and some others) for the nice tutorials and their work on the GWE homepage/Forum.

actually I see my start just like an prototype-run. Get an feeling of the complete bubbleponics stuff. Had following the Bubbleponics guide by Sirius (https://www.growweedeasy.com/high-yield-bubbleponics-technique)

had already posted some in the help channel (https://forum.growweedeasy.com/foru...lems-as-quickly-as-possible/page60#post644307 )

don't want to spam the help thread, that's why I opened the topic here. And want to do an journal =)

usually wanted just start with 3 amnesia clones, topping, goin for an scrog. Since they struggling, I germinated 3 seeds (shining silver haze by RQS) in soil, in case if the clones die... (don't want loose the power input to light for nothing, and just had pots and soil laying around :] (there were 2 different soils, I took one 2 pots (1 plastic pot and 1 clay pot the suggested better soil, and 1 pot (plastic) the other soil, and will check, which one will perform better. )
Now iam going hydro and soil at same time, and learn from these grows.

if someone see an issue or some unorthodox, just tell me =) iam still green behind the ears x)

your community already helped me a lot, and want to keep this up.

well...my setup is
120x120x200cm (4x4x6,5 inch) Growbox
400W HPS/MH

Normal PlantSoil from Seramis and Grandiol (this one not really fine)
Just had them in house.
Will get more soil just for the grow next month if I potting in bigger pots. Any recommendations which soil best for? Have read, composana is fine. And lots growers in Europe choose „Sonnenerde“ don’t know if this aviable in other countries. It’s an Austrian company. Guess will give the sonnenerde an try..

Ant can’t find the other one o.O

Update: cause of ph-dancing and continuous ph-climbing I abort the hydro setup, and put the plants into soil. Wasn’t well prepared for it, and my ph-down is empty x)
I will goin with soil for now in this grow, keep it cheap and simple, get first experiences.
will try hydro after this grow again with better setup. Im poor after the shopping/invest in the starter setup/equipment etc.
gladly the clones which I started in hydro regained strength and keep growing since they in soil =)
(was so close to throw them away, but friend of me said, just put them in soil and try to rescue them ❤️ thanks dude!!)

posts following (want to keep journal clean and separate clones vs seeds)

Day 8 Seeds Soil (Shining Silver Haze by RQS)
They doing fine. Seems the seramis soil (plants 1+2) works better as the cheap supermarket own brand soil (Grandiol, Plant 3). The plants in seramis are abit further as the one, even the 2rd leaves of plant 2 which started with only one leaf are bigger as plant 3 which started normally (measured on 2rd leaves size).

(cause photo description don’t work for me, it’s just in numerical order (first plant is 1, second is 2 and so on)

Day 27 Clones Soil (Amnesia Haze Clone by Cannexo)
they regained strength since in soil and had some time to recover. Plant 3 seems abit behind (roots taken longer to develop in hydro as P1+2).
Will give the clones more time, would be great, if I could harvest the clones and seeds in same week at the end…
removed Strong yellow leaves. Begun with scrog training (mainlining, aim for 2 strong stems, at end they should topped twice, to get 4 main stems). First topping already done days ago while still in hydro. They now grow faster and look better ❤️🍁

Coming along nicely! Just one thought, is it possible they're over watered? I noticed the soil looks a bit dark and the leaves are a bit droopy. Overall they look good! It seems like they're picking up steam.

Hello Meow, Thanks for your contribution here =)
U mean the clones, right? If u look older photos, it was from the hydro time (pH-issues).
And last photos was after watering ;) actually I watering after around 3 days
Indeed they picking up steam =)

Day 10 Seeds Soil (Shining Silver Haze @ RQS)
they keep growing, some differences cause diff soil and one seed started with only one leaf 😎
had watering yesterday after 4 days (was worried of overwatering at day 3 x] )

Day 29 Clones Soil (total age, Cannexo Clones)
Had watering them after 4 days like the seeds.
some cripply leaves, the bottom ones still from messed up start. The top ones looks better, some have yellow tips. Light to close? Nutrient-burn? Let me hear your suggestions. Overall they look fine and keep building up steam…
had buy some soft wire and tape for an upgrade, will use it till mid next week, will potting in bigger pots and set up and scrog net. =)

Hello! There iam. Sorry for long time no updates. Was busy.
the plants are fine so far =)
seeds (3 in back) are at day 33, the clones (2 front) are around day 47. had throw away one clone, which was too far behind/didn’t recover from fails at start.

guess, its time to flip to flowering, right?
have to keep them still at the scrog till around 2-3 weeks into flowering time.

€dit: new fabric pots 19L (5gal), filled with Canna Terra Professional Plus, added 2 more small fans, still no nutes, only ph‘ed water. Throwed some nematodes into the soil to prevent gnats (thanks buddy for recommendation ;) ) Some are on the yellow boards. Not serious, just single ones sometimes.

Well… my friends, today happened a lot =)

swapped light, changed timer to flowering, defoliation, and watering 😎🤘 and was „wtf, that light looks like hot summer sun dawn“ ,but for cam the veg bulb was better (maybe personal feelings)

would be thankful about some advices….following…
the plants are transplanted into 19L (5 gal) Smartpots filled with Canna Terra Professional Plus at 6.5. (25days ago).
they should be fine for 4 weeks with nutrients. And then?
should I start with my FloraTrio at minimal doses, or just wait till plants show nutes deficiency?
just want the effective way, the plants are fast and hungry for sure. Guess, beginn with low dosage after week 4?
happy to hear some opinions =)

Seeds: 6 weeks (42d) after spouted (Shining Silver Haze @ RQS) (3 at back on pics)

Clones: 2w old ones, 65 days (Amnesia Haze @ Cannexo) (2 at front in pics)
