New(ish) to growing... first outdoor grow

Hey Everyone!

Thought I would turn to this source and get some more opinions than what I have found so far on the Internet. I am growing a couple strains that were clone cuts and cared for in VEG inside but my clones were so successful that I put what I thought the “weak” plants outside... but they seem to be doing well. I’m having an issue with seeing the trichomes with the purple in there... any thought on how far along this looks? I know CROPTOBER is coming. She’s smelling very fruity grape(iah). I’m growing in Portland, OR if that helps... also there is rain upcoming in the weather, should I find a way to cover my plants?!

Thanks in advance!!! Hopefully I’m utilizing this forum correctly...

High di hoe neighbor i'm down south from you about 3hrs near Diamond Lk. :) we had a heck of a storm last night. My plants look similar age wise mine might be a bit ahead. Love the purple strain look I've not grown one yet, but done a few cookie strains, glue strains, kush strains. Anything with more indica is what I've found good outdoor in my area. Now i'm just guessing those are not trained meaning LST or topped? I keep real close tabs on weather but as long as it's warm 70's were OK. As those buds start filling out more chances with mold might be a concern. Looks like your pretty good for air circulation. I've left my outdoor plants in containers till first couple wks of Oct. I have an ezup to put them under during long periods of rain. I've had them under porches and on decks under umbrellas.
Mine are in 10,15 an 1 in 30gal pots. I put them under cover when temps really dip and rain is lasting more than 2 days. Good luck to you keep us posted. Great info educational tutorials in this site. Lots of helpful folks. Stinking great to have other Oregonians in here. Peace

Hey thanks! The purple one was not topped, correct. I did one topped and one not just to see the difference between them. I have a few I’m currently training indoors at the moment as well.
