HELP! New growth is black. What up?

Hello GWE! I could use a hand. I am growing Crown Royal and Green Crack outdoors. The pics below are the Crown Royal.
The Set Up: 10 gallon fabric pots, Dutch Nutrients, 1st or second week of flower (?), I haven't switched to flowering nutrients yet, still on the veg nutes, (read an article that said that was preferred)
Giving them 2 gallons of water every other day.
New growth is coming up black, its been doing this for a few weeks but it is now getting worse. It doesn't appear to be something on the plant but actually the new growth itself.
In some of the spots it has dissipated, but its it looks a bit alarming.
Plants are very healthy and hearty otherwise.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

i think i saw a grower a couple of weeks back had the same issue and said it dissipated overtime, maybe someone else knows more

Ok so IMO it could be a several things. First, it could be a phosphorous deficiency, however it usually targets older growth and this is newer growth. Second, it could be too cold. I've read that if you have a big temperature drop it can affect the plant's ability to absorb phosphorous. Or it could have purple in its genetics. Some plants actually have a predisposition to turn purple.

I dont know anything about dutch nutrients but i do know that during the flowering stage the plant craves phosphorous. Unless you are somewhere were it gets below 65 at night it may be that your plants want some phosphates! true, you generally want to slowly increase the nute strength, but this could also be a sign that it needs more. Alternatively, it could be that there is a genetic element. I think the most important part is that they are healthy. Keep an eye on the temps and maybe think about slowly upping your phosphorous in your nutes and if it doesn't solve it its probably genetic

In the end you are more familiar with your environment, equipment and the plants health so really use your discretion keeping these things in mind! Good luck!

If you look real close you'll notice the discoloration is actually very deep purple.
I've had it pop up before when I was growing in the ground in an old garden and other areas, I have no idea what causes it but I'm actually leaning towards something that grows near the affected plants.
Are there blackberry bushes or poison parsnip nearby? Those two plants have been in close proximity to every plant I've ever had that happen to.
Since I switched to pots and now 25 gallon fabric bags, opened up a large area free of all weeds, etc., laid heavy black gardening fabric and put everything on pallets I haven't seen a bit of the purple crap pop up.
I found it retarded bud growth and the final product was quite unremarkable in all respects no matter what the genetics of the seeds and/or clones were.
Good luck, this has been gone over in these forums recently, maybe there's some new info there.
