New grower problems

Are you still using the MH light? If so, that is likely your issue. You need to be using a HPS bulb for flower.

Daskahn the only thing I can say is 4 weeks is not enough time to finish, from the looks of those pictures. 8 weeks from first preflower is when I would begin to look for ripe trichomes. But I may be wrong. My $.02

I agree with Californiakid. You will likely not finish in only 4 weeks time. You may want to try to keep them in veg until after your move if at all possible. Otherwise, you may be harvesting bud that is weeks away from being ready.

I am using the my only cus I read I could stick with the my and cus the hps caused wilting but I'll give it another go then move it higher or something try to keep the temp down

There are 3 types of HID bulbs on the market right now. MH, HPS and CMH(aka LEC).

MH - Metal Halide Grow Lights - used for the vegetative stage, makes white/blue light

HPS - High Pressure Sodium Grow Lights - used for the flowering stage, makes yellow light

(New) Ceramic Metal Halide (Various names for this technology include CMH grow lights, Light Emitting Ceramic, LEC grow lights and LECs) - used from seed to harvest

If you are using the standard MH bulb (NOT THE CMH bulb) then you need to only use it for vegetative stage. It doesn't not put out the correct light spectrum for flowering. That is why you have to swap to the HPS because it does put out the right spectrum.

The only 2 bulbs you can use from start to finish are the High Pressure Sodium and the Ceramic Metal Halide/LEC

Where I'm moving to isn't exactly grow friendly so I can't take them with me.. although I completely understand what y'all are saying.. I guess I was fed false information.. well I could try to switch and see what happens but I'm more then likely going to agree and say these will only be a learning experience and never finish.. unless I find a sitter or something lol

when I initially started I had plenty of time but things happened had to restart.. but would of still ended with atleast two weeks extra.. but apperently I wasted the first two weeks of flower.. ugh.. owell hey anyone wanna be a sitter lol

At this point, I would say swap the bulb over to the HPS bulb if you have one, and just grow them as long as you can. You will probably get something out of your work. Might not be the best thing in the world, but hey...something is better than nothing! Plus, like you said...it was a great learning experience because every time you make a mistake, you are learning what not to do next time. Best of luck with it either way!

Now days the ways that people extract oils from the whole plant, grow them out as long as you can. Then make edibles or something even if it's premature it should be good for something. Good luck sir.

Yeah.. I have plans for next time.. I want actual seeds I know what they are I'm planing on adding about 9 more systems and what not so I just wanted to test this and see if it worked lol

I will say this...there are some who feel you can determine the likely sex from just looking at the seed. I tested this theory on my grow and will let you know if it turns out that it works. I do know there are things that can alter the sex while the plant grows, or even cause it to herm out during grow but this was just a guide to show that under perfect conditions, these seeds should be this sex:

Thank you Ellz I've always dreamed of being a full scale farmer and finally got a spouse that is ok with it.. now just to slowly learn my lessons and grow lol

That is absolutely fascinating, ellz!!! I'm going to put it to the test mos def!!! I bought 10 Black Domina Regular seeds, and I'd love to weed out the males!! I'll let you know my results, and take some pics.

Ok so update..with pictures
ok so when I changed the water day before yesterday I notice a brown goop on all the roots thought it was root rot.. I might be wrong.. they seem to have taken to the new light just fine.. I raised the light to combat the extra heat.. seems like that wasn't needed I think I got hella lucky but they seem completely healthy and everything is fine
Mine thing I'm curious about is on a few leaves there are "puddles" of a liquid and I have no idea where it's coming from

If you are seeing slimy, twisted roots then you could have root rot starting. How warm is your reservoir temp? Are there any light leaks in the res? Are you using HydroGuard? I would check this article out if you haven't already seen it: http://www.growweedeasy.com/marijuana-root-rot

As for the puddles of liquid, that is likely from the leaves themselves. They tend to sweat as they grow. I noticed the same thing on my plants and it was usually in places where one leaf sat on another. It isn't anything to worry about.

Was seeing the slimy brown stuff. It has cleared after this water change.. imma keep an eye out for it but as of earlier today it seems to have disapeared but no I'm not really using anything like hydroguard I thought about getting it but I'm refraining for now.. if it pops back up I will also I've already read that lol good read..
