G'Day guys :)

I have 3 plants growing. Ultra Lemon Haze, Pineapple Punch and Auto Pounder with Cheese. 25 days, 19 days and 14 days respectively. They are on a 18/6 light cycle. I have 2 nutrients Canna Terra Vega and Canna Terra Flores. I just have a few questions. when should I start adding nutrients, how often and so on? I am currently watering them about 150/200ml every three days, is that okay? And is my set up in general alright?

Any feedback would be great :)

Thanks guys, here are some pictures.

Welcome!!. I'm not sure what light you have, but it seems too far away for such little babies. What soil are they planted in. If high in organic nutrients, should not need any additional supplements until bloom cycle. They will just stretch, stretch stretch with light so far away. Otherwise, looks goods.

The light is a Vipar Spectra 300W LED. The soil is a plain Dynamic lifter with a Peat moss and Perlight mix. The light is just shy of 60cm to the lowest plant. Should I raise them 10-15cms? I was worried about burning the leaves putting it too close. Is the watering scheduled ok?

23.622 inches away. Should I move them around 5.90551 inches closer. (If you are in Inches)

LED's get hot, so you should put them as close to plants as you can without burning them. Water schedule is just a rule of thumb when that small. Let soil dry out for one day, plants will wilt a little, but don't worry. Water as needed. don't over water....they new growing roots need to breath.

Your plants look healthy so far! I think it would be okay to start with nutrients this week or next week, just start at 1/4 strength to start and always give plain water every other watering. Have you been checking the pH? That's really important to prevent nutrient deficiencies and get your plants to grow as fast as possible. I agree you probably want to bring the LEDs a little closer, but maybe lower just an inch a day and see how your seedlings react. Sometimes LEDs can be pretty strong for seedlings! Seems like they like what you're doing so far :)

No Title

I used a 4 bulb T5 6400K fixture during veg. Light can be as close as 6 to 8 inches and will not hurt them, basically zilch heat output. Here are my babies when they were about 18 days old. As soon as leaves reach edge of cup, transplant into bigger container and start training them to stay short and bushy.

Awesome thanks guys. Ill raise the plants up a little and see how it goes. For the first week or so they were quite close to the light but a mate said to lower them a bit, so they haven't always been that far away. I am using distilled water at the moment (boiling water and storing it not buying it) Is that alright? I haven't pH tested yet, thinking using distilled would be fine but now voicing it, it may not be the greatest of ideas.

Should pH test before each watering - between 5.5-6.5. I'm not sure, but I think boiling the water is ok. But up here in Canada I just use tap water. The water here annually wins an award for best water in Canada. But always pH test before watering. One of the worst things to do is overwater...........the roots will not forgive you.

I like the way you shared your pictures, first time I've seen that on this forum. That lighting will be perfect for bloom. If it has multiple switches, you may want to turn the red off during veg. I'm not 100% sure though if it matters or not. If you continue growing, you may want to consider a different light for when your plants are so young. One that doesn't put out so much heat. Like I said, we have some T5 6400K's that were fantastic for the young plants. But there are certainly lots of other options.

Your plants will really stretch with that light. As soon as the are big enough, top and start LSTing. See GWE's instructions for both of these techniques.

Yeah its a really good way of sharing pictures quickly. No I cant turn off individual lights unfortunately. Its cold where I am at the moment the plants are sitting at about 22 degrees. I have moved the plants much closer the light now. Ill have a read and look into different lights

Sounds like you are on the right track. If your water wins awards, great use it. May not have to boil it. Just keep pH in 6 - 7 range and they will be happy. Probably tomorrow when more people are awake you'll get more answers. I'm not the expert by a long shot.

Im using the same light. What I noticed is that there is a canopy coverage range- or optical light distance- by adjusting a few inches at a time, you will see the area getting lighter or less light- meaning too far. For the seedlings, I had issues for the most part. Dialing in the right range was difficult. Two plants took off, two are stunted. So not sure if it was light, genetics or bad luck. I got a T5 HO for vegging clones and moms perhaps- and they are really showing much better early growth than under LED currently- but age of plant, has much to do with everything. What looks small today, looks 10x the size in a week
