I like to use some Mykos from Extreme Gardening in my final transplant hole.

Put up a pic of the leaves. Too much calcium would bring on a lock out issue, Sounds like something else.

I couldn't pick it up with my camera, doesn't look like much now, hopefully its nothing. Do you water yours before you take them out of small pot to help hold it all together?

Actually I find that letting the media dry up a bit sometimes will hold it together but usually if they are just slightly damp they'll stay together.

What I do to minimize the media from falling apart in my hands is to fill the cloth pot to the desired level where if I put my transfer pot on top of the media the soil line of the transfer pot should line up where I want it. I then side fill and gently pack the media. After the transfer pot is surrounded with packed media, I slide the transfer pot out, dust the hole with some Mykos then I lay the transfer pot next to the hole and try and slide the plant out of its transfer pot and into the hole in one swift move trying to minimize any crumbling. Keeping it close to the hole will allow the minimal amount of moves that will disturb the transfer pot media.

I use the 5 gal bucket for feedings when I'm at home but if I have to leave I can use the larger reservoir for multi feedings up to 6 weeks. I use the larger reservoir as an overflow in case something leaks. I'm in the process of putting together a separate feed injector for calcium based products I use for the larger res. This will keep the calcium products from precipitating in the res with any phosphate or sulphate products I might use

I need to find a good wire rack to put on top of the tote rather than the wood so that if it leaks it'll drain back into the res.

Wow that's an awesome setup. Taped up clear hose.. I didn't tape mine up for my first RDWC didn't take long to go green😬. I like how you have positioned your plants so that you can train them towards the centre. How old are they? Also that calcium feeder sounds like a good idea.

Day 16-17 transplanted into final pots. The pics are what I used. Pretty happy looking root balls, I dialled down the ppfd to 270 to help them settle in then ill turn it back up to 300 tomorrow. Got another oil heater set up now as well so that should take care of this chilly weather, just have to go have a look at local hardware to find something to sit each pot on for maximum air flow and drainage.

I didn't have ready access to some black vinyl hose so I had to make do with what I had at the time. I had run it with just the clear hose but, as you already know, it greened up pretty quickly. The calcium injector will be for when I have to leave and keep nutes in the larger reservoir for a longer period. I can mix everything up and feed if I'm going to feed immediately but if it's going to be sitting in the tank for a while then I need to separate them.

The plants are in week 4. I anticipate enough screen coverage in the next 2 - 3 weeks before I flip. Not sure if I'm going to give them an extra week of veg to get a little more height on the verticals/colas that will be growing across the canopy. The last run I did I got a pretty consistent run of 8" colas across the canopy. I tried to time it for the stretch portion after flip so I flipped them leaving around 10"/25cm around the edges of the screen to let the stretch fill it in and not get them too tall but it would have been better to let them get almost to the edge and use the stretch portion to set all the verticals so that they are taller. I'm hoping for consistent 12" colas across the canopy. I have another stretch net that I can use as a trellis if they get a little too tall but I'm hoping the silicate I've been feeding them will thicken the branches enough to keep them from flopping over.

Can't give too much away, but it's a more like a walk in robe, only you wouldn't know it's there unless I showed you....

So you are in a contained environment right? Not just out in the open like sitting on a coffee table in your living room.

Yea it's contained, mostly insulated. 6 inch intake, although I also have a 3 inch intake that I'm running ATM so as it's not putting to much strain on the heaters and electricity, and the 6 inch extraction fan with a scrubber that I'll hook up when it gets stinky

So 4 weeks since germination and day 8 in the big fabric pots and I'm not seeing much growth since the first little spurt 😔 however they are starting their 6th lateral and looking healthy and green so I FIMmed 2 and stripped the first laterals off closest to the dirt so they can focus on the top growth. The third one has started to flower so Ive just tied it over a bit and will see what happens. I've also set up some pot saucers I drilled a few 10mm holes in for air to get to bottom of plants. Not too concerned about run off as I'm following Nebulas watering schedule for water only soil.
I'm up to 400ppfd and everything else is within spec so I'm hoping to see some vertical growth in the next few days 🤞🏾🤙🏾

hey wayzee i'm looking at the pics. from 5/27 when you transplanted, did you water b-4 you flipped the pot over in your hand or do it dry? i'm about at that point and looking for tips, thanx

I like your grow room. Lots of slow moving air. What is the temperature and humidity difference between night and day. Be winter there in a couple weeks. Humidity will tank.

Hey Mike temps are ranging from 24-26c during the day and 18-20 at night. Humidity is a problem and is quite low but then Ive had wet leaves from the humidifier a couple of times. I have grown successfully in that room a few times with no humidifier so I dunno. I am thinking maybe I had to much air movement at seedling age and that has caused them to stay short.... ? Or genetics seeing as I had hard shells and one possibly a auto when it should be photo. The company emailed back saying they source their seeds from Europe but can't disclose the breeders and that they have never heard of any customers having trouble Bla bla bla.
If I've timed it right I should be flipping around the start of July so then the temp and humidity won't be such a problem. And should have premium conditions for drying, if we get that far. Ha 😕

Seedlings need air exchange with high humidity. Leaves don't look wind burnt in pics. Hard seeds are just hard seeds that's all. Seed banks are a busy and confusing place. Learning to breed is your answer. Haven't had much luck out of Europe either but They sure will replace the beans for sure.

Edit: actually taking your advice and looking at rootsrullers set up with 2 humidifiers I think that it would be beneficial to get another humidifier and run 2 that way I can try get the whole room up in Rh not just at the plants when the fan pushes the humid air onto them if that makes sense.. so I'll hold off on that box of beer and get a cask of grape juice and another humidifier instead haha
