New Grow with Dinafem auots & automatic watering system

Day 35 from seed

Hand watering 2x per day 1.5 gallons between 4 plants
Mega Crop 4.5 grams per gallon
CalMagic 1 ml per gallon
Kool Bloom liquid 1 ml per gallon

ppm around 1000
ph usually 5.9 to 6.2

runoff is the same as whats going in

One Industrial Plant CBD is flowering strongly. Buds are forming everywhere on all 8 colas. No flowers on the other 3 plants. Plenty of pistils on the other Industrials but nothing on the Critical 2 +. I'm imaging they are all on their own schedule but can't help wondering if it's something I'm doing

I've taken the wires off of the branches as they are all very thick and rigid now, I keep taking leaves wherever I see them blocking sun from bud sights. They all seem healthy. Not much to say

I guess I'm close to half way through. Just need to keep them cooler than 85 F on the hotter days. They've gone as high as 90 F in the tent and don't seem to have suffered. I'll definitely change my growing between the months of Sept - May from now on.

I'm going to put the runoff on my garden

all 3 Industrial Plants are in full flower. Critical 2+ shows no signs of it. I'm beginning to wonder if it's a photo. super short, only green leaves, no pistils yet......

I'll post some pics later.

Day 42 from sprout

Mega Crop 8.5 grams per 1-1/2 gallon 2x per day
with:
Calimagic 2.5ml per 1-1/2 gallon
Liquid Kool Bloom 15ml per 1-1/2 gallon

total ppm 1115
ph 6.0

It appears I have 3 different phenotypes with the Industrials. It also appears that Seedsman may have sent me something other than the Critical 2+ Auto *.

The 3 Industrials are in full flower. 1 is thickening up fast over the entire length of the colas. Very few side branching on this one which I am happy about. The 8 stalks on it are thick and sturdy and I think will hold what will become heavy buds. this is the shortest of the three. One Industrial has a lot of side branching and is wispy with so many leaves I can't pick them all to keep light on the bud sights. Flowers everywhere on this on but they seem to not be as thick as the beefy one This is the tallest of the 3 and looks like Sativa...thin leaves, lots of side branches. The 3rd plant is between these two, displaying features of both, it's the middle height with a good amount of flowers, but still has some wispiness and side branching that is hard to control. They are all responding well to the Mega Crop and additives. They are starting to get sticky

* The Critical 2+ is not flowering at all and shows no sign of doing so. While it's healthy it remains short and grows new leaves slowly. I see no pistils. I keep telling myself it will pop soon but in reality I think it is something entirely different that labeled. sad because I wanted this one to work out. The description sounded great.

Temps are back down to normal for a while so less struggle with keeping below 85F. Supercropping on the tall one, constant taking of leaves and lower branches continue.

Hey Cronk, you got them looking nice ,man.Hate to hear about the Critical, been alot of that going around lately, being photos, instead of autos.
I tell you what, I don't use nutrients much, but I'm using MegaCrop and SweetCandy, on 2plants, at a teaspoon or close to 5-6grams, a gallon,an SweetCandy at one quarter teaspoon a gallon, but it's as good as any I ever used, I love that MegaCROP.

Plants look great. I looked closely because I was sure you must be burning them at that PPM (about twice as strong as I run), but doesn't seem like it. You are definitely pushing the limit there though, which should work out great if you can walk that line :)

Apparently there is less risk of burn with the Mega because most of the ingredients are chelated. I have no.idea why this is.but they claim.it. Seems to be true. It dissolves immediately and is super easy to use. I'll be buying their bloom boosters for next grow. Ive seen about 3 burned.tips.but.I.think.that was from the extra.cal.mag. Dialed.that down and haven't seen any more. Mega contains cal.mag

That does not conform to my understanding of EC or Chelation, but I will have to look into what they claim. Obviously you are having success.

If you trust your buffer, Coco really doesn't need additional Cal/Mag (beyond a normal dose available in the Mega). The extra Cal/Mag is really just to satisfy the buffer and can be reduced or eliminated if buffer is established.

Yeah, I remember that. And you haven't had any Ca deficiencies, so the buffer is probably fully established.

In the future, to buffer you can soak (submerged in a bucket) for 8 hours in Cal/Mag water. Drain and repeat for a complete buffer. This will probably be easier and quicker than 2 weeks of treatment, but I think your method worked!

That sounds better, yeah. I was figuring out the timers and pumps anyway, though. fine tuning

If the Critical 2+ doesn't flower then I'll switch it to 12/12 after I harvest. Maybe scrog it and let it go big. sounds ridiculous but why not if it lives. I guess I can keep cutting it back

Still no flower from the alleged Critical 2+ Auto. If it was mislabeled then I can't know if it;s even a Dinafem plant. I'm going to keep it in veg until I harvest the Industrials then scrog it and let it go mad. It'll be my attempt to break a LB with the 315 LEC

Meanwhile the Industrials are all responding to their situations in their own way. The one on the left, rear is fattening up while the other two are still more wispy and delicate. I think I see a change from day to day and expect them to catch up, although the node spacing on these two is more spaced. Fragrance is lemony, very nice. starting to get sticky. I'll say that my first grow with photos, my last grow, I was not at this point at 6 weeks. far from it. the speed and progress is astonishing

Mega Crop + Liquid Kool Bloom at around 1000 ppm total for the flowers and just Mega at around 500 600 ppm for the vegger. 2x per day

2.5 weeks from 70 days, Dinafem says 70 days to harvest

Quit Liquid Kool Bloom and started Dry Kool Bloom. 1/4 Tsp per gallon
Mega Crop at 850 -900 ppm (tap water at 125)

PPM under 1000. was up to 1200 with no bad effects. Buds are fattening on the 2 thinner phenos of Industrial, the 1st one to flower is fat and probably ready at 70 days or earlier if I am guessing

These plants are tough, really no problems so far, just feed and defoliate, keep a breeze on them and try to keep temps from getting too high. Topping and LST has produced lots of buds sights but I should have been a bit more aggressive with this about 4 weeks ago. a few too many side branches producing small flowers.

The unknown photo plant is hanging in and getting massive. No idea what to do about it, 12 more weeks of it will put me into September, using AC through July and august. It's going to be a pain and a drain but It could yield a ton of buds. Wish I knew what it was.

sorry pictures suck, new phone coming today, nice camera shat the bed

Looking Great!
Does your schedule have you on PPMs that high until the flush?

Sounds like you are planning to make the investment in the mystery photo... are you debating it?

yes, same until flush. I;m guessing I'll start flushing the early budder in about 10 days or less to get the 2 weeks. I'll play it by eye. I see no problems associated with this level. The Mega guy said they wouldn't burn and they didn't. The Advanced and GH stuff I used last sure did, but still, not horrible, but noticeable

I get a pretty good amount of runoff so that may have something to do with it.

I do believe there are benefits to lowering PPM during the final week as you approach the flush. Most nutrient schedules cut PPMs almost in half during the "Ripen" week. This increases the flow of water into the plant and may encourage it to focus more on flower development than on manufacturing sugars in the roots. If EC is high the plant must spend a lot of energy producing sugars to draw water into its roots.
But I am not familiar with the specific recommendations from Mega

Keep meaning to update but my new phone won't connect to my pc so I can't edit the photos. I'll have to come back with them later. the phone is keeping me stupid like it's designed to do

I began flushing yesterday at day 61. Runoff ppm is at 1200. Not that it means anything but what's accumulated in the medium but the Mega Crop is only at 1200 whereas the Advanced and General Hydro products have been upward of 3000 ppm on the previous grow in the runoff by the end. I realize I've been very high with ppm but the plants did not suffer in the slightest. I saw maybe 3 or 4 slightly burned tips throughout the whole grow. The leaves are rather dark so my plan for a 10 14 day flush should leave me clean. There will be plenty of nutes in the plant to feed itself for this long

Pistils are 90% white, some areas less, maybe 80%

buds are really fat and very wet. I did a final defol. and had resin running down my hand like fruit. Some of the colas are very long and packed all the way up and the smell is wonderful.

Can't wait to see what happens next

The Massive vegger is out of the tent and under a LED A lamp. I'm really just keeping it alive on low light and low nutes. Still healthy. Not sure what I'll do but I just don't have the heart to cut it down.

Put them back on nutes yesterday for thinking that my flush was premature. I had taken a snip of a top bud and the trichomes were mostly clear from what I could tell. This morning they are all milky in a different sample. A few amber.

So I'm thinking I take them off nutes again and resume flush.

anyone have any input?
