I keep my smoking quite. most powwow don't like alcohol or drugs on the grounds ,I have never asked about medical use just keep it stealthy . but it does go on just not out in the open. we also vend there I make Drums, jewelry ,fans, spears, war clubs ,knives ,bags,my wife does herbal remidys, soaps, massage oils ,ect. hey Jeg funny you should mention pirates, I had an ancestor who fought a pirate for the town of pimaqute Maine apparently he won lol. told that to the curator of the pirate Museum in Providence town on the cape he walked over to some books pick one up flipped though it a little and showed me the story from the book pretty cool
