Need tips on how to regulate grow tent in basement

Hello, I need help with how to regulate the temp in my 2x4 tent in my basement. Growing Aurora Indica in soil. My basement is 63 degrees at baseline. I have a mini radiant heater in the tent that keeps it around 73 degrees at lights out without the exhaust going. I have a 400 watt MH light that gets the temp up to 88 degrees which is too hot and the plants dont like at all. I have a 6 inch exhaust fan with 2 speed controllers on it but the problem is that it is in-taking the ambient air from the basement which is 63 degrees and I cant keep it on at lights out because the mini radiant heater cant keep up with it. I know that an obvious answer would be to move the grow upstairs but that isnt an option. Any ideas would be helpful cause I am stumped. Thank You.

I let my plants get way colder than 73 at times with no ill effects as far as I can tell. It brings out pretty colors usually. A guy I know grows in a greenhouse that gets down into the 50s every night in winter and he does ok. They don't grow the best when they stay that cold but a few hours of mid 60s isn't going to hurt. My grow room has been in the sixties for a couple weeks now. I'll take ambient 60s over 80s any day.

I too have a basement grow. I keep the heater outside the tents. It's a cheap fan forced thing. The tents are sequestered a bit by a partition wall from the rest of the basement. I also use digital thermometer/hygrometers in each tent that record highs and lows. The temps don't vary too much between 65-75 that way.
