SOIL Need some help!

Hello GWE,
First time grower. Got some problems with one of my plants. I grow in Organic Kindsoil (3/4) and the rest Coco Loco. My grow tent is 4x2x5 and I have a Viparspectra 600w, 6" Vortex Sline S600 fan 347 cfm (very quiet) with a 6" carbon filter. I always adjust the ph of the water with Earth juice crystals (6.5ph). Since germination they went straight to the big pots ( 3 gal Smart pots). I had to install a humidifier because the humidity was 20%, now it stays above 50% and the temp is 71-76 lights on and 64-69 lights off. Recently I noticed one of the plants had some discoloration on the leaves. I made some adjusments ( wind, lights, position, watering ) in the hopes that something will work. But 5 days later, new set of leaves, they start to show the same symptoms as before. Also I've noticed some white residue on the plants but I guess that might be because of the humidifier ? they seem healthy otherwise. Also don't they seem a little small ? they all sprouted 2/15/2018 and the pictures were taken yesterday 3/2/2018 ( the first 2 pics are from Monday 2/26/2018). I also attached 2 pics takend under a digital microscope and I found some dark brown spots on the plant that has the problem. is that a bug ?

You said you used 3/4 of a pot of kind in 3 gallon pots?

I know the rate is 3 lbs per gallon with kind. You may have added a bit much and your young seedling hit the hot soil too soon.

Kinda looks like an early defiency from lockout to me.

Also the one close up pic kinda looks like wpm. See if you can wipe it off of the leaves. If not I really cannot say what that is.

Hey Chulu, I use KindSoil ever now and then too, but I don't understand the 3/4 part your talking about, I do know if you ain't got your pot filled up right, that KindSoil will burn the sh-t out of them.
How do you fill your pots ?

Thank you both for your answers. I use the kind soil formula ( for every gallon of the pot add a gallon of kind soil) and that ended up beeing 3/4 part of the pot. and the rest quarter I filled it with Coco Loco.

I forgot to add that I have 1 plant that i planted the same time as the others and it's like twice the size of the ones in the pictures.

Thats what got you. Its one pound per gallon and only at the bottom of the pot make sure not to mix it.

Oh yeah, that's how I added it, a pound for a gallon ( I remember cause it was aprox. 7 cups for a lb of kind soil ). I appologize

Hey Chulu, they should all be doing good, as the other one, looks to me like these got burned by the KindSoil earlier, did you try to wipe that white stuff off, like Urbz said.
That KindSoil is good stuff, but it hard on young seedlings, I found that out on a couple of autoflowers myself, it turned them yellow an burned them up.

I have 3 Durban Poisons ( all sprouted the same time, they are all different sizes. the one in the picture is the middle sized one. and the one in the "blue" picture is white cookie, it sprouted a day later then the DP. Same set up. I didn't try to wipe down the white stuff. I'm gonna do that and see what happends. Initialy I wanted to sprout them in rapid rooters and in a solo cup without any kind soil, but I read on the site where I got the seeds to plant them directly in the big pots once they germinate.

Which plant is largest DPs or Cookie.

If its cookie I would say that strain responds better to heavy feeding. Something good to know if you grow it again.

If its just one of the DPs I would say strongest genetics of the 3 for sure just handles the food better.

Or maybe 3 plants havent even hit the hot soil and are showing deficiency not burn.

The one big plant hit the hot soil and took off..

Yeah your soil mix is right on then. Hmm

I think with kind you can give some organic tea products if they show a slight defiency. Maybe those little guys havent hit the hot soil and the big boy did.

In turn the little ones may be needing some food at their age if they havent hit the hot soil yet.

it's the DP. it had the longest tail after germination and it sprouted first. the cookie is the same size as the smallest DP.

I bet you that one has already found the hot soil and the others have not. Thats what is happening.
The 3 small ones are showing slight defincies because of that. Im sure you can give some organic tea or blackstrap molasses with kind. It will help catch them back up and hit the soil.

Maybe someone else will confirm. Ive never used kind but have researched.

As for the one stuff on the leaves, if it wipes off I would treat for mold and get your fan a bit closer to get the air moving.

You have any in/out ventilation from the grow area?

I have an 6" inline fan for exhaust with a carbon filter, I keep the flaps from the tent open all the time and i have 2 6" fans that's blowing on the roots and blowing onto them to make them tougher.

Well it seems with that much airflow mold would be hard to get. Either way see if it wipes off.

If not it may just be discoloration from the defiency.

I wouldnt use nutes though to catch them up. That will mess with the kind.

Try an organic tea from a growshop they can point you in the right direction or some molasses in your water.

It does come off if I rub it for a little bit. Would this do the job ? can get it by tomorow !

and also I was thinking to top/LST only the big one. Should I train all of them ? I've read that you should top only the healthy plants.
