Need some guidance

Hello guys,
so I'm growing with DWC hydroponics using clay pebble as my medium and I did lots of research and understand how it works. I'm confused on what I do after I germinate the seed and put it in the rapid rooter, now what should my next step be, do i put it in my bucket with just water until the roots start growing or should I put it in nutrient water. Any advice would be great 😀

It's really up to the individual. Some keep the rapid rooter in a tray and water the tray when the rapid rooter starts to get dry until roots appear in the bottom. I just put the rapid rooter in a net bucket with clay pebbles and fill the res until it touches the bottom of the net cup/rapid rooter (make sure the rapid rooter is getting water not just the net cup) until roots are visible then just fill the res until it touches the roots. I do it in 2 gal buckets and when to roots are going strong i fill it one gal at a time. Sure i have to fill the res more often during flower but it works for me.

As far as nutes go, Once the seedling has broken the top of the rapid root and has one set of true leaves showing, then i start adding LIGHT nutes. I dont know what nutes you have but i use GH Flora trio and use the schedule that is on the website https://www.growweedeasy.com/wp-con...eed-General-Hydroponics-nutrient-schedule.pdf

If you had a top fed system you would not need to fill the res to the bottom of the net cup since there is water getting to the rapid rooter. Hope this helps!
