Some of you lovely people have mentioned that your using a/c units for temp control. I live in az, very hot in summer, humidity is generally 0 - 5% daily. I am switching to LED's (should be delivered today!) do any of you have suggestions I just haven't thought of or lack of experience?? Umma be checking back periodically all day for any answers, THANK YOU ALL in advance!! :)

If I was getting a new LED ,i would get the same kind Mcubed476 has got, i know they grow some awesome bud.
They are called Autocobs, and they are powerful.

I'm looking for a portable A/C unit for my tent for the summer grows. My question is, can any body suggest a good, reasonably priced unit?

Well, keep a few cans of water in the tent, helps keep hum up. Not a lot, but something. Then, add a milk jug with a 250 ml of water, 1 cup sugar and a tbsp of yeast. This will add c02 which plants like in higher temps.

A swamp chiller may be the best option if you can find one that wont break your budget. Will cool down and up the humidity, where as an ac will mostly just cool.

I want the auto cobs, but there still a pain to get up here in Canada from most places, in fact, the week i bought my mars hydro 300 is a week before the mars2 and mars pro line released. Still cant order there cob tho...

I'm sorry Grand ,I thought you were looking for a light, man that vipar450 is a good one, good luck with it.

If I lived out there, I would definitely be giving my plants some silica and kelp works great high temperatures and heat stress, if your tent ain't air tight that co2 ain't gonna help.
ps read what Nebula says about co2, or read what anyone says about it. It's a waste if you got low powered lights.

"If you're using less light, you'll need less CO2 to be effective, though you won't be getting as much an increase in growth compared to if you were using stronger lights."

The only reference to waste, at least in the article I read. Was reverencing to ineffective setups and flooding co2 in the dark cycle.

So for me, to toss in a jug of yeast an sugar water, which costs nothing virtually because I already have it. Its like, "Why not? Cant hurt" Now, Would I go add a fancy co2 regulator and tank. No. Not with low level lights. But I have been using co2 on plants for years. Loooooong before I ever even smoked weed. I used it for aquatic plants, so its just kinda became part of my plant regiment. Ive seen what it can do for plants so for me its just like that one extra bit. But id hardly call it waste.

If you have a good breeze in your tent your plants are getting co2
Just trying to help, use all you want.

Oh I know. There prob getting plenty of co2 as is. But that little more never hurts. Thats just me tho, everyone has there own tricks and quirks. As long as we all grow happy right?
