Ok so anyone kno of a good plug in thermostat that will work with a window ac? I installed a window ac in my grow.. was a pain in the ass cause i had to custom build it in the wall so the vents werent covered.. it works GREAT, but no damn thermostat.. ita either to to cild or to hot... reallt need a good thermostat.. any ideas?

Don't window units have thurmastats built in just ajust and go. If not I would opt for a ac unit with one, my 2 cents

The plan is to turn on the air conditioner and plug it into this unit. The unit has a upper temperature limit that that sends power to the plug when the temperature gets high enough. Then power continues to flow to the plug until the lower temperature limit is reached, at which time the plug goes dead, stopping the air conditioner.
Additionally, there is a setting that allows you to set the minimum amount of time the air conditioner must rest before coming back on. This prevents the air conditioner from being turned on and off too often (I plan to set mine at about 15-20 minutes). I hope this helps.

Some do.. i have 1 in the bigger flower room an i have one in the room that my tent an cabinet are in.. the one in the flower roo. Has a thermostat an it serves its purpose beings its in the same room.. but the fan still continueously runs just the compressor shuts off. The one in the room the tents in just has high an low cool with 1 , 2, 3, 4 ,5,6,7. 7 being the coldest, an i have the one side ducted into my tent an the smaller side ducted into a cabinet.. which is the one i need it for.. gonna have to have the plug in piece in the tent an the ac plugged into that which is doable since my surge protecter is mountedto the top of the tent along the pole an can just run the ac cord thru the top vent.. , an flock thats exactly what i need

Well mine runs ice cold on 7 gets down to low 60s lights on an 6 keeps it at 81 lights on but gonna start gettin hotter an cant risk leavi. It on full blast an freeze them

Two things to keep in mind: First, air conditioners have compressor motors which pull VERY large current surges every time they start running. You will need a thermostat rated for much more than just the 'average' current your cooler pulls while running or the T-stat will not live long. Second, the total of lights, A/C, and compressor startup surges is likely to be more than one circuit breaker will handle. You may need to plug them into two separate breakers.

Yea, i ran 3 seperate lines out 2 my shed. One for the tent one for the flower room an one for the cabinet so i have 3 circuits an nowhere near maxxed. An yea thats y i was looking for one desinged for ac, i have one for a duct fan but dont think it would work.. i mean it might but would rather get the rigjt one then just try an uope it works
