Need help with lighting

So I will be switching to a bigger grow closet that I will be making out of boxes it will prolly be close to 6 foot tall. Right now the seedling is in a tote. I have a 15 watt led light bulb in it. And it is lined in aluminum foil to help get brighter. The box build will be lined in foil as well. The box build will be 2.2 square foot. How much light do I need for the 2.2 square foot box grow closet. Will the led I have work. I really wanna stick to leds for the low heat. I need recommendations on good lights to use also please.

Your saying 2.2 x 2.2 x 6? In something like that I would go a 2 foot T5. A little bit more heat but way better light and coverage. A light that size would likely cover the entire floor area or you can get a couple leds for 30 bucks on amazon that would cover the entire area with barely any heat.

Also be careful using foil. Its actually less reflective than you think. The wrinkles distort the light. If you're aking the box out of wood I would recommend getting a half gallon of the cheapest latex indoor paint (flat white) and painting everything inside with it. Look it up its way better.

Evening TG, my first indoor grow was in a 2x2x4 tent and all I used was an 89buck GHyrdro 300watt, 145 real watts LED, and it grew some fine bud.
I keep her tied down the best I could cause my tent was so low, it made my light bill go up about 5bucks, and there wasn't hardly any heat , that would be fine for your size cabinet.

Your welcome, I got it on Amazon for 89buck s, it's a GalaxyHydro 300watt Led, they really do work well. Good Luck.

Just dont try to grow more than one or two plants in a 2x2 area with that light and youll be fine. Otherwise it will get crowded fast.
