Need advice

I have a situation. I have a photo-period OG Kush that is in its 5th week of veg. What would happen if I switch it to flower schedule early? I’m going to be out of town in the 14th week and have no one to handle maintenance in my absence. I’m doing DWC in a 4 x 4 tent.

My understanding is the switch is made at the pharmers' call considering the plant will at least double in height during the stretch. If you switch now your plant will not grow as tall as it would if you waited longer to flip. That's it. I suppose one could say that the yield would be less than if the plant grew larger in veg, but if your circumstance dictates you flip now, go for it. You won't hurt the plant.

BTW...Good lookin' plant!

The way I grow I would defol the hell out of that plant and flip to 12/12 the same day. It looks good so far so I wouldnt worry either way

Yes, I am also intrigued with that unit, would like to see its insides and workings, looks like there's some kind of temp control/monitor on it,
dang!! If this is something new and improved compared to my cheap basic big old plastic reservoir, I'd be very keen to get a closer look.

So, I bought the unit from Vivosun. Unfortunately it IS NOT COMPATIBLE with my Growhub E42A. It is intended to be used with their Vivosun VGrow Smart Grow Box. It has an integrated air pump and water pump for simplified water transfer. Both of those systems are operated through the control in the Smart Grow Box. Because of this I had no way to control either. So I gutted the control panel and both systems and put in my own air pump and I do water management through the large access door. All and all I like the hydro unit as I have to use it.
