HYDRO Nearing my first grow, ever, yes any plantlife. (DWC)

It's just a tiny set-back :) Never thought about starting like that, thanks for the tip. I'll come back with some updates :)
 
Will a couple of these do the job for early seed/veg? Best thing I could find at my local stores. Tried to find some T5s with a small reflector but no luck..

Not sure but that looks like an led light, an they work ok, but if you ask me, I like the cheap curly cfls, a whole lot better,
Y'all don't have the curley cfls where you live, ?
 
Mate of mine got 2x 21w (70 equivalent) of these and grew a strawberry haze auto but don't know breeder or anything,i think it was a street deal bagseed.Got 23 grams off it in a wardrobe with no exhaust,fan or anything.Lights on/off and Canna Terra (Veg+Flores). Straight awesome deal i would say...
 
D.A.A.S.69 Not in any local store. Amazon is a joke here and if I find a curly one, it's probably warm white. Cold ones are scares, even regular LED/Halogen bulbs. I may just wait for my MH/HPS and start from there.

Nartak That sounds amazing. Kinda wanna try that now :D Any of my seeds worth sacrificing?
 
Hey buddy,try a Gorilla Glue so we can see how both ours turn out.I do have more light but it's also a killer strain with dat gorilla indica smack in the face :D
My mate had 2x these : LED SUPERSTAR CLASSIC A 2700k E27 150w(21w actual) But is it worth it? maybe get 3 and triangulate the spread of light from 3 angles but 42w of actual wattage would be a small yield! Unless you want to play really but there are also ebay leds you can get 50w COBs or 100w COBs for nothing! Also viparspectras on ebay(for US) are so cheap you can have 1000w actual for 300$!!
 
I think I can get my hands on a few OSRAM DULUX TWIST 23W 6500K 1,600 lm CFL's. I'll make my own reflector. Hopefully those will get me through veg stage until I get my order. :) I'll update you if I get my hands on those CFLs.
 
Of course, I don't want to know where you are but I was at Lowe's and Home Depot and they have a blister pak of 4 100W CFL at 6500K for $10.00 If you are not near a Lowe's or Depot...Sorry

x6 Philips Tornado Spiral 23W (103W Equivalent) 6500K 1,450 lumen.
x1 Philips Tornado Spiral 15W 2700K 970 lumen.
7 in 1 socket splitter

I'll later use these for early veg stages, so it's not completely wasted. What do you guys think?

Anoney, thats exactly what you need,for your seedlings ,i normally only use 1cfl to a plant, when they are seedlings.
Be sure to not overload your splitter, with too many watts, or your ext.cord.

Wow, I like that spider thing splitter... D.A.A.G.69 is right... keep an eye on that load. As an anal retentive, I went around with my non contact infrared thermometer gun and check heat build up in wires. I am running some big bulbs. I’ve found the greater heat build up at the connections mostly< where two cords connect together
 
Says its good for 60-watt LED bulbs, energy saving light bulbs or any other 25 watt bulbs. But i'll still keep an eye out for it!
Also thinking about making a "cone" like reflector made from mylar and some steel wires, or is that not necessary?

That sounds like a good idea, just try to keep your light kinda close, like 2inches away, at the furtherest, for mature plants, a little further away for seedlings an young plants.
I used one of those, but mine only held 5cfls, I liked that thing, but I tore it up by accident, lol. I like yours alot better! !!
Seedlings an very young plants, don't need very much light at all.
