My Second Grow

I have two seeds sprouted.
One is Kush and the other is Ayahuasca Purple.
Growing both in Coco Coir and using Coco A&B nutrients.
i have two CFL bulbs equalling 500W In a 80x80x100 tent (pretty small but not the smallest).
In & our fans to circulate air.

Date Started to see true leaves 4th October.

Will update as the grow progresses.

The pot with the apple sticker on it is Kush and the microscope sticker is the purple.

Good start Jamrasta.
it can be real easy to overwater coco with no perlite, are you going to add some when you repot?

I don't know about your lights, but they might need to be a little closer, to stop the stretching.

Yeah going to add some when I put into larger pot.

Also I moved the light up just to allow a decent photo.
They did stretch a little to begin with but looking ok now

From approx week 2 through to week 5. (Photo happy I know)
started low stress training.
going to transplant to new bigger pots around 6-8 weeks and add perlite as advised.

The purple Ayahuasca is already giving off a lovely smell from the leaves. Hope the buds from her taste as good as the plant smells !

really nice beginnings. I grew three original amnezia, 12litre pots, in a tent the same size as yours. They produced 4.5 oz per plant! happy plants happy growing!

I didn’t realize cocoa could be overwatered. How does the perlite help?

Proper drainage and air flow. Roots like o2 and suffocate in standing water..

Switched it over to 12/12 now.
had a few hiccups on the way. Under fed so got some yellowing in the middles of the leaves.
Also had a let down with watering when I was away for 2 days. My person forgot to water them. Came home and they were barely surviving. But plenty water got them back up and running again.

im trying the grow net this time instead of tying down with string.
I have to say it’s much easier too.
i bent the main stem early on and topped both plants once each but that’s the only training previous to the net.

just starting to see some white hairs come through. Looking forward to these so much!

and my next grow is going to be an upgraded light.
no more CFL. I feel I have the basics now and want to see a bigger yield in future

Plant was cropped and dried and is now curing in jars.
I got 2.2 Oz (dry). Not amazing but it’s a CFL so I’m not complaining.
smell is absolutely wonderful.
The purple ayahuasca is the most pungent and has more crystals than the Kush.
I think it’s time for me to try a bigger better light.
Just need to decide on LED or HPS next

Nice haul Jamrasta it feels so good to smoke your own and saves $$$. There are some really good new LEDs out there i'm not going to recommend any as i'm just hobby stage lighting. My LEDs are 3yrs old so they are " old technology " as they say but do the job for us. But do research your needs well, and sleep on it LOL
