Seems illogical, most light is received when leaf is perpendicular to light source. Being at such angle reduces light absorption quite a bit.

Well Well Well.
We have a pro cannabis gardener here😂🤟🏻

I agree with Bboyfromwayback, they definitely like the light when they point up, it’s called the sweet spot.
From my experience my plants are thriving when they do that

you know i had such a shit time at the start and so did the poor old plants, but one thing ive learnt (along with 100 other things) is how tough theses little fuckers are for at least a week they were in coco soil with no nutrients and barely any water, im over the moon that they are doing and looking well, thanks for the comments guys means a lot to a 1st time grower, maybe in a few years ill be the one advising ;)

They’re obviously very happy with the care you’re giving them. Grow on brother ✌️

First of all, I have grown few plants.

Second - that is physics, not some specific plant based science. The same reason why the Earth have hot and cold seasons in places. That is fact, not a random guess.

Yes I do not know why the leaves point up like that, but I guarantee, that they get less lights as perpendicular leaves would get. That is why I said it was illogical, not false conclusion. Maybe You two pro gardeners would explain what is going on, not simply assume something.

Do a test with flat light sensor, put it perpendicular to light source and then turn it at angle, You will see decent drop in readings.

Edit: To me it looks like that is just the way this strain grows, because other strain right next to it don't have leaves pointing up like that, even though they are under same light.

Every Strain and even different phenotypes can be different even in the same setup.
So yea some will like the light more or less and than others. Same with watering and everything else.
I have 9 plants now and some like the lights more than others.
Even at different heights.
Simply assume something ? You are referring to the world spinning around with the seasons.. what is that conclusion for ?

We all have different experiences, and at least we can talk from our experiences with great knowledge. And not just open google and copy what we google.

And he is growing in a tent, not outside. So the seasons with hot and cold doesn’t matter. And the lamp in the tent is not rotating like the sun is. And that is science !

Light from the Sun comes at different angles depending on longitude of location. Closest to perpendicular around equator and steepest at the poles, One can see the average temperature of those places which is related of amount of sunlight absorbed which is related to the angle of light hitting the Earth. That is a nice example of light angle and absorption relation. That is only thing I'm saying, nothing about angle of leaf and seasons, I see that is a indoor tent. Nothing to do with what I am saying.

What I do not agree with is that the plant craves the light so it turns its leaves at angle from light, as You can now conclude, this angle is making less light hit the leaf, meaning it now receives less light. As You say - each strain grows differently and requires different conditions, so maybe this strain requires less light, that explanation would not contradict with laws of physics.

And You are right, lamp is not rotating, but leaves do move. You can find many examples that are not cannabis, how plant protect themselves from too much light in nature, by moving/folding its leaves.

And You again assume I am googling things and posting it here for some reason. Yes, I am new user, with only little involvement in this forum. Does say completely nothing about my knowledge or experience. But it tells a lot about Your attitude. I am not here to prove someone wrong, but to gain and rise our common knowledge about all these topics.

One thing I promise you is you’ll learn something every grow. No 2 plants are the same. Clones get ya close but you still have slight differences. They’re very resilient plants until you get a couple weeks into flower them some strains can be picky.

Plain instigation from You, bboyfromwayback vs constructed scientific criticism from me. You could just read what I have commented here. If You disagree with something I can make it more clear, just tell me what is it.

Holy crap dude 😂. Seriously!? Welcome to the site. I think you will have a good time here and many friends 😂😂.

I don’t agree with you, and you mentioned other plants than cannabis. I can’t use that Shit for anything. We are talking about cannabis. And clearly you do more effort in being right, than having a debate. Which have something to do with you don’t have any experience with growing. Only knowledge you read on the internet. Which is good, self educational 🤟🏻 Be proud of yourself. If you need so many words to prove a point, it’s clearly not your own words, or that you are so unsure about this, you need all the information before you think people will believe you,

As said to you before. Good luck in here 🤟🏻😂

I agree and my ears are always open and welcoming to new ideas. However, my nose will smell someone’s bullshit a mile away. Most people on this site are here to help and in my opinion it’s mostly solid advice. I’ve tried and liked a lot of different things since joining the forum. Wouldn’t say we’re taking things too seriously but it does tend to crawl right down my spine when someone starts saying crap that you know is complete bs because the other person may not know any better and completely f’up their grow then get frustrated and quit all because some peckerhead spewed forth a bunch of bs.
