My perpetual grow journal

When you say open, you mean the lid is only screwed on half, third, or whatever your desired amount air flow is?

As far as lids go....do you guys use the metal lid with the separate ring or the plastic lids used for pickles and such. I have plenty of jars from my vegetable canning/pickling but I will have to pick up some lids.

Alltatup thanks for the method, I like hearing how others do it.

Also, they have those humidipaks (integra-products.com) at my "gardening" store. I picked up a few for my purchased flower. Anyone ever use these for curing and storing?

Stoned, I will balance the back of the lid, opened all the way, against the wall behind it, so I can adjust how much air flows into the jar. Sometimes I turn the lid upside down and balance it on the lip of the jar.

My jars all have one-piece lids.

Boveda used to be Humidipaks, so you're getting the good stuff, AND you can re-hydrate them when they go grainy!!! ;-}

Merry Christmas everyone!
a little root porn this morning and nice shot of my giant pineapple Express and two smaller bc pinewarp x bubblegummer (need to come up with a name for this). With the buckets, they have reached four foot tall. Week four of flower starts tonight. I'll do one final trim under the net/trellis and remove/tuck any fan leaves that are blocking light.

How much defoliation does everyone else do for flower?
I pretty much take out just what needs to be removed. As flowering goes on, I remove anything blocking a major growth site. 20171224_192246.jpg20171224_185532.jpg

Same here, just what absolutely needs to be removed. I even leave the fan leaves below when I do my modified lollipop to remove unwanted bud sites. Can't have too many solar panels, as long as they don't block the buds!

Not me Rosetta I take as many as I can the 3rd week of bloom ,I leave the bottom ones and the small ones that dont block light, haven't seen any bad effects yet lol

Bought two of these earlier tonight. Just caught the deal they had running. $56 each Screenshot_20171230-004613.png

Also decided to wait on the harvest of these other two. I'm giving them a week, give or take. I want to see more amber and it's slow goin....... patience

Absolutely stunning, stoned: what is the strain? The bud shape is really interesting. could you take a closeup for me, please???

alltatup oldjarhead100 These girls are pineapple Express x black diesel. The friend who hooked me up with my grow stuff also made three out of the four strains I have. The others being pineapple Express, pineapple Express x White widow, and bc pinewarp x bubblegummer (just harvested that, eight quart Mason jars).
i like how they are growing different even though they are the same strain. Those are amazing Rosetta ,how do the trics look the rest of the bud looks close to me but its the trics that count. Rosetta you should send these pictures to Nebula for pic of the week damn do they look cool

Morning RosettaStoned, I would most definitely make sure they are ready before you harvest, do not harvest if not ready. Wait. Get a loupe from Nebula on Amazon so you can see the trichs, about 15bucks, works great. Just don't harvest that beautiful plant unless she is ripe. You will be glad bigly ,that you waited. Patience.
