It was built in two days, with bamboos, rope, and yellow plastic tarp made for that.
I'm proud of it, but I think I'm even more proud of the amended soil. The soil here is very alkaline, but is also full of life. ("we get tomatoes here that people at the other end of the village cannot get")
I added horse manure, compost, soil mix bought from gardening center (160L of it in total, spread over 6m².) homemade dry blood, store bought "natural phosphate" and store bought "sulfate of potassium". Took me a long time of research and calculations (wrong way, do it again, but instead of gallons measurements take m², for instance) to try and mix the right amount of nutrients. I have liquid notes in case plant need. (made sure to add less rather than too much of those nutrients in the soil)
Mixed the soil mix, horse manure, potassium, nitrogen and phosphorus on a tarp, spread those over my already mixed compost/soil. Mixed it again with a claw. It was heavily mulched since the compost was added. Had to remove it and mulch it again (for those who don't know it's the process of spreading grass/hay or whatever cut plants over the soil, to keep it moist and other advantages). Yesterday I watered the whole (because it was slowly drying on the edges, first place to dry of course. If I had to wait till center dry I would wait a month or more.) for the first time with molasses. Gave a syrup/sweet smell to the greenhouse. Today was... Normal temp... Not hot but not very cold either. Hadn't open the greenhouse. (plants are inside the house today). It was so humid ^^ I should be careful not to do that when plants will be inside. Water wasn't dripping on the plastic, but that's because it wasn't hot enough today. In the middle of June, that's going to be a very hot greenhouse if left unopened.
I added a single water barrel in the center, for thermal mass. It's definitely not enough. (sadly I couldn't raise my greenhouse against the wall, it's just 50cm/1m away from it...) added open can of water to be heated and humidify the air a bit. The soil is crawling with life, thanks to the mulch. Usually when I dig the ground I find earthworm after 3 seconds.
In total 8 plants will take their place here. 4 autos which should be gone by mid July. And 4 photos. All disposed in a very specific way related to their heights/the amount of place they should be taking. 4 different strains was the base idea. 2 plants of each. With my seedlings not sprouting, its 5 strains now. Since it's my first time growing, trying to grow enough for a year or two, I also try different strains to know which one is the one I need more.
I'm an anxious fellow, so I need one strain for the night, to put me to sleep (insomnia/stress. Love to have itchy eyes...) and one strain for the day, keeping me calm but awake, allowing me to function, think/walk. Do you have any strain in mind? Knowing I live in northern hemisphere, so, frost during winter, hot summers, sometime rainy.
