Hi everyone! Been browsing and learning since I started growing in May. Been 7 months, had 3 grows. 1st 2 failed, third times the charm. My first time, I had no clue about the "stretch." I got caught way off guard and had to cut em down. Second failure, I used little pots that were supposed to disintegrate when you plant them. Well, they didn't do that. 3 weeks in veg and they died. Roots never penetrated the cups. 3rd grow I went all out. Top of the line soil, water, no chems, organic, and topped. I made it to harvest! I'm stoked. Strain is GG#4, grown in DNC water only supplemented with Fox Farms Organic Bloom fert. Tent is 2×4 AC Infinity and everything is AC Infinity. Light is S22 longboard led. Came with kit. Let me know what you think. Please be kind. Technically, it's my first time lol....

Hey you grew some nice smokeable weed. Congratulations. It only gets better from here my friend. Read the posts of the others on here and expand your knowledge.

We all love to Grow weed easy but nothing worthwhile is easy

My first grow got pollinated, my second stunted and badly cured, by the third I was having some success. Your on you way now it seems. More setbacks will likely come, but now you know you can do it so just keep learning and practising.

These days I’m bummed if I don’t pull close to a pound out of my 3x3 tent
 
I tried Jiffy pots and had the same problem, they don't disintegrate I was able to re pot mine and save them. It put a lot of stress on them, but at least I'm getting some return!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
I can't wait to try it. Never had GG#4. It's curing right now. Still got till Friday before I fire it up. It'll be cured for 2 weeks.
 
Congrats. Nothing like growing your own weed. My guess is it'll get better with age. You're curing your harvest, right?
 
I'm like nervous. What if it's bunk? All that time and money wasted. The seeds came from a reputable source so I should be good on the genetics side. I just have that fear I'm going to smoke that first bowl, from my first grow, and I'm gonna be disappointed. All my friends are like "Dude, that looks fire." And I'm like , "Yeah, cool. OK." Looks mean sh*t to me, I want to be impressed. Just the smell of my curing buds reminds me of 97-99. We had a weed come in town that was referred to as "kind bud." Come to find out it was Skunk #1. One of the best weed I've ever smoked. Dispensary weed here don't compare to that stuff. I want it to be like that. That's what I'm hoping for. Just please be good....
 
This is what happened on my first attempt. No topping, no LST. Well, by the time they started flowering all my tops were at the top of the tent. Light was at Max height unless I relocated exhaust to outside the tent which was not an option. I didn't have a clue at the time. But I did learn right away in my tent, I have to intervene otherwise it's a disaster. You couldn't bend them either. They were like wood. Too much and they would snap. And even when I did tie them down, they would grow like 4 inches in 48 hours. I'd have to do it all over again. I threw in the towel. Started over, wiser.

Yeah, broke my heart to cut em down. But, I felt like I'd be wasting time and money to get jack for a yield. I felt defeated. I had such high hopes. But, I used it as a learning experience. Think I'll ever do that again? lol....
 
And I forgot to mention GG#4 is tall growing. Didn't find that out till 2 days ago. Guess I should of done more research on strain choice....
 
I like to SCROG, especially when they are tall plants so I can spread them over the screen and get even light across the canopy.

This was the last GG4 run I did. I had 10 seeds and they all popped but only 2 were female.:super-cry: I had to leave for 6 weeks so I set the auto irrigate on and got this when I opened the tent.

I think I got the "growing" part down, but manipulation of growth is where I need more experience. If I can get that down, then my pics will be on point. But, I'm just learning the plants. It's like raising kids. Each ones different. Another thing I learned growing from seeds. I plant 2 seeds, I got 2 different plants. Both with their unique needs. That took a minute to get used to. 2 plants was like living with a girl friend and a wife lol... both had different needs. The one one the right was picky as hell, needed love all the time. The one on the left you could use and abuse and she still love ya lol.... no joke. During veg is when it came apparent I couldn't treat both the same. I had 2 different plants on my hand.
 
The one on the right, was skinnier leaves, yellowed faster towards end of flowering, and had brighter green contrast. One on the left, fat leaves, dark green almost purple, took forever to finish. It wasn't till flowering when the differences started showing themselves...
 
Ok, so I ran out of weed from the dispensary so I had to break into a bud a day earlier than planned. I literally had a bowl of dust left. So here's my report.

Took 3 hits as an allergy test. Smooth, no harshness. burns nice and tastes clean. Went inside and watched tv. Feeling good. Well, 15 minutes go by and im still getting high. Total like relaxation. Feels like I just got of a hot tub that ive been in for an hour. No anxiety. No paranoia. Now heres the thing that I'm really happy about. The high lasts so looonnggg. Like with the last dispensary weed I got (Spiked Punch by Bedford) I would redose after couple hours. This stuff, no way. It's been almost 6 hours and I'm just now starting to think about smoking again. 6 hours man. Now I'm not "high", but can still feel the effects. Not the weed you wanna smoke if you got shit to do. Thats off 3 hits. 3. The dispensary weed I'm smoking a whole bowl (5-7 hits) and still need to dedose after 3-4 hours.

All in all, I'm proud of my weed. I didn't grow pounds or 10" buds, but I got enough to last me a while and it's strong. Been a long time since I've smoked 3 hits and been that messed up for that long. And I'm a 3-4 time a day smoker. Also, you didn't have to pack the bowl. Just a clip off the bud and just lay it in the bowl. It does not take much.

Pretty much, I'm thrilled how it turned out. WAY better than expected. I expected like average smoke, not! It ain't no joke. And I'm no light weight by no means. Can't wait to do it again but I'm going to enjoy the next couple months rest.
