My first soil grow

I have been growing hydroponic for several years but wanted to try a soil grow.
As per suggestions from this site I put this together.
Fox Farm FX14100 coco-loco
Dyna-gro liquid grow and liquid bloom.
Fabric pots.
All under a Samsung LM301B AE1500 dimmable.
I carefully PH my water and measure the nutrients carefully because I have desert water, very hard.
Having said all of that I am noticing some strange leaf damage. It’s not insects a magnifying inspection confirmed that. I am at a loss. Having never grown in soil troubleshooting this issue has been problematic.
​this Ice Fem. started out in my window because it was an extra germination and I did not want to throw it away. I transplanted it to the fabric pot and put it under the light. I an attempting LST for the first time because the fabric pots make it easy.

Unless I misunderstand the product, Coco Loco isn’t a soil grow. It’s a coco coir product, so you grow differently. Its a form of hydro that uses a different ph level too. Coco also requires a lot of CalMag, and I suspect you are shy on CalMag. I can’t offer much more than that.

Oh man looks like a " thrips " horror show on that plant you got bad bugs probley from the coco loco bag. Look inside that bag and does it have any ferts already in it.?

I can suggest using bottled spring water from your local Walmart/grocery store. Go to the website on the label and research the ph or contact the bottler by email and ask, most bottled spring water has a ph of 6.5 - 7.0 but make sure first.

Edit - to illustrate two different bottled spring waters available to me in N. TX; my tap water pH is well over 7.0, that's not useable at all.

Spring Water Sources: CG Roxane owns private, protected springs located in: Weed, California; Olancha, California; Norman, Arkansas; Benton, Tennessee; Salem, South Carolina; Moultonborough, New Hampshire; and Johnstown, New York

pH is 7.4 for the spring in Norman, Arkansas

This makes it unsuitable for my outdoor growing needs, although it is perfectly fine for drinking, otherwise.

Ozarka Natural Spring Water. Sold in my area Walmart.

Ozarka® Natural Spring Water sources; Primary: Roher Spring, Henderson County, TX and/or Moffit Spring, Walker County, TX and/or Piney Woods Spring, Wood County, TX

pH is 6 - 7 for the spring used in my area.

This water is acceptable to me and my plants seem to thrive on it. I have not detected any problems that I can attribute to the Ozarka Spring Water.
