My First Grow Journal...EVER! 600W MH/HPS Bubbleponics Cabinet Grow

I couldn't help it Daskahn...it sounded like a great idea! :)
I still haven't made the tea yet. The leaves are just sitting in the fridge but I may make some tonight. My jaw is really hurting from that dental work yesterday so I have been taking it easy on food and drink.

Thanks everyone for your comments and replies! It keeps me motivated to grow big!

07:00PM: Checked on the plants today and saw the reservoirs were both getting low so I mixed up a 5 gallon jug of water, HydroGuard, Cal-Mag, FloraMicro, FloraGro and FloraBloom. I omitted the Floralicious and Rapid Start since they are super concentrated and I am only supposed to add a small amount of them to each reservoir. I would have normally only topped off with HydroGuard water but I wanted to try topping it with nutrients as well because it was only 2 days from the nutrient change. Each reservoir took just under 2 gallons each so I saved the leftover to pour in tomorrow if they need it. Then I will do just regular HydroGuard water that has been pHed down. I also got my Lux meter and tested the light being transmitted to the plant. I was getting readings from 35k down to 9k so I dropped the light a couple of clicks since the heat isn't an issue yet. That upped the readings to 45k on the high end and 15k on the low. The temps are still in the mid-80s F with the light that close so I think I will leave it there. The plants are growing so big each day I will have to keep an eye on it more often than I have been. I have attached a photo of each plant on day 30 below. Thanks for reading!

Wow, grown so much in one week. Are you still planning on flipping to 12/12 this weekend? My coco grow is close to two months in veg so I will be going to flower this weekend.

Thanks! I am still thinking I might start flowering on Monday but I want to see how big they are by then. I may end up letting them go one more week. I just don't want them to get too big that they try to overgrow the cabinet. LOL.

06:30PM: All the plants are still looking very good. I adjusted my tie downs, added some more and did some more leaf tucking. I really think I will start flowering them this coming Monday. They are now filling up the space around them and are about a third of the final height I am looking for so it should be a good time. It looks like I have all females just from the crossed stipules I am seeing. Plus, they all smell VERY dank! I have attached some photos below of how they look on day 31, and how they look in relation to the overall cabinet space. Thanks for reading!

And now for a very special treat...I have made a 22-day composite of each group of plants! They show the progress of each group at day 1, day 8, day 15, and day 22.

Those composites are excellent, Eliz. This weekend I'm kicking off my own DWC grow for the first time and your pictures clearly show the accelerated growth rate someone could expect to see.

Thanks JohnC. I was going to make a bigger one that shows the daily change but I haven't had time to do it yet. Plus, it's hard to do with the size limitations on this site. I may do it and post a link from my Google Drive.

Yes john just be weary i kept rotating the net pot which stuned the roots and i had my lights to high while she was young so just be sure once you get it in the direction you want leave it there and keep your. Lights adjusted properly and she will grow stong once i fixed my problems she took off with growth

06:30PM: Things are still going okay. I poured the rest of the nutrient mix I made up the other day in the reservoirs and adjusted my tie downs again today. I noticed that I was too rough with one of the plants and split the stalk a bit. It's still growing past the break so I will just have to take it easy with it for a few days and let it heal. I have attached some photos below of how they plants took today and of the broken stalk below. Thanks for reading!

Side Note: I have been trying to figure out what hours I want to run my light during the flower stage. I think I have decided to go with having it turn ON at 9:00PM and turn OFF at 9:00AM. My reason being that as the weather changes over the next couple of months, it is going to start to get colder during the over night hours. Much colder! That being said, It will likely still be fairly warm during the daytime hours so by having the light on at night I will keep my grow cabinet warm enough both while the light is on and while the light is off. I don't think I should have to worry about daytime light bleed because my cabinet is steel, I am using a blackout curtain on the window and the angle of the sun has changed so that the window behind my cabinet is not in a lot of direct sunlight. I will monitor things when I do the change, which I still plan on being Monday but I think that will work best. I also have to remember to swap the bulbs! LOL!

I am really considering buying a SuperCloset superponics system for my next grow. They are pricey, but the features are fantastic! They have everything plumbed so that there are no extra tubes. They have a custom molded, INSULATED reservoir that is white and UV resistant. They have a built in drain system for nutrient changes. They come with everything you need to get setup. The only problem...they are pricey! The one I am considering is $329! Here is a look at it: https://hydrobuilder.com/superponic...r4NdaY5Now4uAVClHtll7QERQ1kfWFucaAsubEALw_wcB

What are your thoughts on the self-drain part? That is my favorite thing about this. I want to build that into my system! I am thinking they have a line that runs from the pump to that on/off toggle and when it is off it goes to the drip but when on it drains. Sound correct?
