SOIL My cultivars

So I looked at some today and I found 3 males so far. All 3 were culled.
2x zublu
​​​1x Blue apple syrup
those was the males.

Plus I have a sour diesel male in a solo cup I'm keeping alive.
Yesterday I found a ton of soil mites. I've had them for about 2 years in my soil (I reuse my soil).

Still havent sexed them all. Found a female Tatooine donut. The rest I can't tell yet.
 
Ok so far today total I removed 5 males. 2x blue apple syrup 3x zublu
I also identified 5 females.
1x ​​​​​​layer cake/chocolate nightmare bx1
2x Tatooine donut
1x zublu
1x blue apple syrup
Only 6 left to sex.

The clones are growing great. Stretching.

So I guess this is just testing the plants. All strains are being tested 1st time now. I'm just Killin the males. No more breeding till things are tested and good.

You guys have any advise for anything
 
Best advice, Keep good records! 🤣 It gets overwhelming running Phenos in veg and flower. Is your intention to cull all males? Or are you keeping the clones?
 
I'm just culling this round because I'm just seeing how they girls turn out. Worth growing again? Worth finding a male? Worth the next filial?
If yes then I'll grow then out again and look for males.
 
I feel like one beautiful thing about feminizing seeds is that you can know exactly what traits your "male" brings (by flowering it and keeping a clone or revegging). Also it seems to me like there is so much variety of expression in F1 and f2 seeds, what I've been doing is popping lots of seeds, taking clones from all those pops, seeding all of those with the "male" i like the most from flowering, and then keeping the seeds from the clones of the plants that I liked the best. That way I know exactly what I'm breeding. Does add a month and a half to the run though.
 
I'm not breeding these ones. Just testing.
I keep records of it. Just got a cannabis planner on Amazon. It's a calendar plus stuff.
 
Very interested to see how they do in small planters. When I did the seed run in Folgers cans they were a nightmare to water. Going to do a photo run next. Can't wait to pop some donuts.
 
Yeah they get thirsty almost daily already. I feel like the smaller ones are too small. They should be okay tho. The males I culled had nice root system and not root bound so I'm hoping it will be smooth.
What issues did you have?
 
Ok well only 7 females out of 16 seeds. Glad I added the 8 clones.
seems like the seed plants are suffering an issue. Maybe a nutrient lock out. I turned lights down a little. They get fed and ph water. Maybe they got over fed in the little pots and can't handle it. I'm try and water only or flush them.

What do you guys think their issue is? I feed the GH flora trio. I ph the water always. Trying to get them green again.
 
I saw Epsom salts mentioned. I use 1 teaspoon to a gallon of water but hardly ever use it. I add dolomite lime to the soil before planting. bu2b may be on to something. Could be bad nutes. It's definitely a nutrient problem due to the small pots. They are running out of whats in the soil. What is your ph?
 
Ok so I did Epson salt with lacto added. Also uppotted them. 2 went in just a bit bigger pot and the other ones went into 2 gal fabric pot. Hopefully they snap out of their funk.
the clones are growing great. Perfect. Only the seed grown plants got rootbound and yellow.
