HELP! My bud dried too fast :( help going forward?

Hello, first time grower here! Everything was going good until it came time do harvest and dry. I live in a very dry climate, and even keeping a humidifier in my grow space wasn’t enough. I have a second plant in flower, and would really like to avoid my bud drying to fast next harvest. All in all, I’m pretty bummed that my current harvest dried to fast. Any advice for my next dry?
 
Hang the plant upside down, roots and all. If you have a basement or reasonably well sealed room use that. Don't use a fan in the room. Keep temps down if you can. 16⁰C or 60⁰F appears close to ideal...and 60% RH.
 
Well, it’s the third day, and I’ve noticed that the bud it’s self is kinda crispy, and the stem kinks when I bend it. My bud was really fragrant before and now I smell nothing. It’s already harvested and currently hanging upside down in my closet, I have a humidifier on a low setting in my closet too.
 
I hang my plants inside the tent, zipped up tight with nothing on except the exhaust fan set to its lowest setting. Leaning all the leaves on until dry will help keep the humidity up. Leaving the pots you grew the plants in inside the tent will also help keep the humidity up. If needed, you can also place wet towels inside the tent to raise humidity
 
After you trim the buds for cure they will get more in moist in the jar as they cure
You can add a leaf of lettuce, a carrot etc. or a leaf from your other plant. Just be sure to check the jars every day
 
Hanging your grow in a closet to dry was a mistake. You can’t regulate the environment in a closet very well whuxh results in a quick dry. Once you trim and put your buds in jars put a piece of a soft tortilla in there with them and they’ll suck all the moisture out of the tortilla. Hopefully that will help a little
 
Thanks for the tips! It’s nice to know not all is completely lost. This was an outside grow, but maybe it wouldn’t hurt to invest in a small grow tent for drying 🤔 (and maybe try an indoor grow durning the winter lol)
 
I also dry in my small propogation tent. I place pots full of substrate (which are aging/cooking/maturing for future use) in the tent to add humidy. My exhaust fan circuitry regaltes the desired RH.
