My 3rd week defoliation question

If any y'all been keeping track, I have my new HLG 360 Elite, and I'm getting 6ish hours of direct sun. I understand part of the idea of 3rd week defoliation is to get lots of circulation and light to the lower of the plant.
Since I have the direct sunlight, lots of breeze, and rotate the tent 90° every day, is the 3rd week defoliation as necessary?
 
Hey Gingerbeard , i'd say your kind of a hybrid grow situation..your plants are getting blasted with sunlight from the doorway for half the day, then under lights when suns not available!. I'm starting a couple outside right now with the same basic idea. outside when its sunny and lights when its overcast. Sooo, im just going to let these grow as wild as they want(pretty much) only defol if really necessary. And what a difference sunlight makes!! I have same strains inside and out and growth difference is 2:1 right now...makes me want to carry all the tent ladies out when its sunny. but their too f..king heavy lol
 
Hi GB, 3rd week defol is also to expose all bud sites to the light, and it's a choice depending on grower's preference. Nobody defols for outdoor plants because they get a different kind of exposure to light all day.
 
They're between 16" and 18" tall. 2 weeks from 12/12.

Defoliation will happen. Light defoliation. Only little leaves that will make harvesting more of a chore. Three finger for sure. Plants with 7 and 9 finger fans on the same plant will have three and five fingers removed. Fans with no bud sites, as well.
Now that I've made a decision, I have another week to decide if I've made the right decision or if I'm talking out my dab rig.
 
Those look really good Gingerbeard the branches are stout. Really great to grow in the sun they just love it. Just take off those big old fans maybe trim the very low branches of whispy growth. Stand over them look down see the soil that's a good thing. :)
 
Sex enough to get rid of the ice-cream BS and one unknown BS. SoOrbudgal Balls, baby. Lots of balls. The other two look to be all woman.
I've already decided to do more trim than that last post. It only gets sun for half the time. It won't hurt the plant to defoliate, considering the sun. But it will help whilst growing under the 360.
I'll let you know differently in my next post, I'm sure. All my plans have the semi-serious possibility of being, and I refuse the right to refuse service to anyone. How now, brown cow. anyone ever tip a cow? I never have. I don't trust such docile animals. Like, they're hiding something. Horses scare the absolute crap of me. My only experience being as a little tiny 6 year old. Some upwind fart knocker decided to pick me up and drop me on a huge, black horse that I was further forced to do the splits upon. Anyway. What about outhouses? That seems counterproductive. Let's say you suddenly had to wee but couldn't because the only outhouse is on the closest farm, 10 miles away, and you can't get there because you got your car stuck in the mud while driving up to the outhouse, thinking you would nudge the outhouse over. What are you going to say to the sheriff when he comes out and finds your car stuck in the mud, next to the overturned outhouse? A bottle of moonshine won't get you out of that one. Especially if the owner of the farm is the sheriff's widower brother in law who just ran over his own dog. Forget about pooping altogether. Outhouses are nasty and should never be used. Whatever orientation.
