Moving forward as planned

My girls are at about 2 or 3" tall, only 5 days into veg. I haven't given any nutrients and 600w ballast is at 50%. My plan for the girls are that on week 2 I start adding nutrients at 1/4 strength and go from there, being at 1/2 strength at week 3 (adjusting more or less if needed).

Also at week 2 I will increase the ballast to 75% and 100% at week 3. All thoughts, suggestions, sarcasm, or criticism are welcome and encouraged. Just making sure I'm on the right track.

Good luck Pankace!

I mentioned in another thread: By dimming your ballast you will be modifying the color spectrum emitting from your bulb. I'm asuming you're running an MH in there since you're in veg. They tend to get more blue from the dimming and HPS's go more yellow. I also read it may be hard on the bulbs. They're designed to operate at a particular voltage/temperature range.

I doubt you'll have issues and the plants will grow fine, but I figured I'd pass this info on.

I think you're better off just raising your lights (hopefully you have ratchet ropes).

Yes, I'm using MH for veg. As for ratchet ropes, I cannot use them. My hood, along with the j hooks and ratchet ropes, take up too much room even when set to its highest. I'm growing in a 5' tent so my space is limited to start. I'm putting my plants on risers to get them at the appropriate level from the lights and lower the plants as they grow. I'm worried I will have to do a lot of training to get them from growing into the light itself.
