Molasses

Hello grower I have a Q: When is the best time to use molasses when growing auto. I know you use it a few weeks before harvest when growing fem, so can I start at the beginning of flowering with the auto because of how fast they grow?

I like to mix a small dose of unsulphered organic molasses in all my stages to help the soil I use, usually I mix one table spoon into 5 liters of water during veg then increase it during flowering depending on what the plants are telling me. I’ve not used auto flowers yet though but I would think that you could use it all the way through too.
what is your grow medium btw? How will you add the molasses via a tea or directly with water etc

Follow on, some in the past have tried using molasses in hydro systems (ouch and unnecessary). Forgetting that molasses is for conditioning the soil not directly feeding the plants sugars etc which is nonsense, if I was also adding nutes I’d be very careful with using molasses and ph testing can be like chasing cats on fire

Here is a great product by ‘prescribed for life’ it’s a powdered form and non gmo it uses rice maltodextrin to enable it go go from a syrup to a powder then when added to water makes around one cup per two cups of powder, it’s called Molasses - Unsulphured Blackstrap Molasses, ING: Organic Powder, 12 oz by prescribed for life. Got mine from Amazon.

I begin on week #4 of flower and continue through week #7-

I add 1ml/gallon of soil/per week dissolved in plain water.

Thanks guys this really helps. I'm growing in coco coir and northern light auto from Royal Queen Seeds flowering time 7-9 weeks so I think I should use during the whole grow.
