Moby Dick homemade growbox (First Grow)

These girls are getting huge. Daddy is sooo proud. Lol. I am setting them on a 15/9 light schedule tonight and this weekend they will go to a 12/12. That way they get transition gently into flower. Thoughts???

No need to try and be easy - just slam the lights at 12/12 when you are ready.
Oh by the way - looks Fabulastic. You should be proud. But these plants test our patience - this is a good place to test yours. Let em go a bit longer in veg. If your anxious now - hard part is waiting for your trichomes to finish. That will also test your patience.
Good luck growing and keep doing what your doing.

Canuck147, I did some reading and research, Think you're right gonna go ahead and veg for a bit longer. Just need to slow down and let them do their thing a bit longer. Just anxious. This is technically my 8th week in veg. Lol. That seems like a long time when I look at similar diaries. I did screw up early on and trimmed some fan leaves before they were ready. That costed me a week of two. I'll just let them do their thing a while longer. Thanks for the advice!

SSJ, I always give my plants 24 hours of darkness and then switch the lighting to 12/12. It seems to help the transition.

Alltatup,I will do that when I switch. Just gonna let them veg for a few more days first. Thanks. Anxious 🤯

Who ever heard of a tornado this late in the year. Wow. Fingers crossed we don't loose electricity. Wow. Lol. Crazy weather in oklahoma right now....

Don't worry, ssj: I lost power for a week during hurricane matthew, and plants made it through just fine. Make sure to give them their 18 hours darkness.

Okay, flowering as of today, 12/1/18. Trimmed them up and changed the reservoir and set the timer. Also did a quick run through to ensure I have no light leaks. I am good to go I think.

Vegitation is sooo thick. So many budsite. Crazy...

Girl, I can't believe how big they got!! I really can't wait to see them stretch!!! They may be a bit too crowded in there, and you may have to remove some of the stems that won't make it into the light. You want to maintain good air circulation around all colas as they grow, and you don't want colas all stuck together, which can create a mold situation.

Have you got control over the humidity? These girls are going to be BEASTS!!!

I have a dehumidifier so not so worried about humidity but I am worried about all the vegitation these pics are after I did a 20% defoliation. Still bushy as hell. There are sooo many budsited. Moveany leaf and there are more below. Right now there are 9 nodes on each main and 3 to 4 nodes coming nodes coming off each of those! I trimmed a few last night that would never make it to the top. I think it is gonna be soooo crowded in here. Happy with their progress though. I'll wait a couple days and trim them up again. Thanks for all of the help and support alltatup. Oh, btw, I'm a guy. Lol.

SORRY SSJ!!! Dude, brother!!!!! Yeah, really this is exciting: I can't wait to see what they do in the stretch. I'm glued to my computer screen!!!

Not a prob st alltatup. I'm excited also. Thinking I might use a trellis on them too. We will see when they start their stretch....

All I know is, it's gonna be a forest of colas: like bamboo... ;-} You've done so well!!!

Just check for moisture between leaves overlaying each other. As you know, you don't really want leaf on leaf, cuz it will trap moisture.

Yes that was my reason for doing all the clipping yesterday. There was a little moisture on a couple leaves, but now they are good. I have breathing room in the center for one, the other has 6 budsites shooting up the center. Cant do much except train train those. I have breathing room below and as much as possible everywhere else. Hoping they will start stretching soon with hopes that they will spread out some of that vegitation.

Alltatup, I really cant express how much I appriciate all the guidance you have given me. Much love and respect sister. You are the main person that helped me get this far. You helped me with the root rot early on, guided me and sent me links to learn how to defol, ect. I really appriciate the kind words. And a HUGE THANK YOU SISTER!!!!

Hey my brotha, you are so welcome!!! I just want happiness and success for everyone on this forum, and I really believe that there's this amazing energy exchange between the cannabis plants and us; it's so strong!!!! The more you love and worship your girls, the more amazing the feats of magic they will perform for you. They wil create the best medicine in the world for whatever ails anyone!!!!! ;-} (I just decarbed and vaped a little bit of the OGKush I jarred like three weeks ago, and I'm quite euphoric right now...

So just 3 days and look how they came back from that Defoliation I did the other day. I think I need to trim them up again already. Sooooo bushy. I keep moving leaves around and keep tying them back but I cant seem to keep up. Thinking I need to just wait a little while longer to trim anymore. Thoughts anyone?
