I just wanted to share this with everyone: I took four drops of tincture this morning, and after two weeks with no cannabis entering my system, it worked like a freakin charm!! Mind you, I was taking 20 or so drops of this tincture before. It worked so fast, and it totally relaxed me, took away a good part of the headache I've had from all the hospital drugs I have to take right now, and reduced aches and pains.

What amazes me is how 4 drops can do that. I wasn't trying to get high--not quite ready for that--but by mighty Thor's hammer, what an amazing, miraculous plant. I am so grateful.
 
thats good news ATU you shouldn't have to much trouble getting off of those pain drugs you have not been on them very long ,withdrawal from them is hellish
 
Hi atu hope ur feeling better. What is ur tincture process . Seen lots of different ways. Sounds like urs must be good. Thnx
 
redbeard Here's how I make tincture:

1. Decarb bud: don't grind it; try to mess with the buds as little as possible all the way through this process. I use the Ardent Nova to decarb my bud and preserve all the terpenes.

2. Put the decarbed bud and the everclear in the freezer. When it's nice and cold, you're ready to combine them. I put the bud in a mason jar and cover with 190 proof everclear. The more bud you put in, the stronger the tincture will be; I don't cram the bud into the jar, but I'd say I put around 15 grams in. I don't measure; I do it by how it looks. You don't want a weak ass tincture, so make sure it's good quality and the right quantity of bud. I just cover the buds with the everclear; in other words, the buds should be completely submerged.

3. Since you're making tincture, you can leave the bud in there for a good long time (as opposed to making concentrates, where you don't want the chlorophyl. In tincture, the chlorophyl is good. Store in freezer and shake once or twice a day.

3. You can either strain out the bud or leave it in and just strain the tincture you're going to use immediately. I've used tincture after 7-8 days and sometimes I've let the solution sit for longer. I put the tincture in 2 oz amber dropper bottles and keep it all in the freezer.

4. Titration: start with a low dose and work your way up to the amount that works for you. I take my tincture very early in the morning so that the strongest part of the high has worn down by the time I have to go to work; then I'm relaxed for hours afterward. The intense high lasts for 2-2.5 hours, and I find it to be the best high for me--way better than vaping. I like its intensity and how long it lasts. You'll find the high you like by starting low--say 15 drops--and working your way up.

5. I put the drops in a square tablespoon and add a little juice so the everclear doesn't burn. I hold it under my tongue for about a minute and then swallow.

6. Keep tincture out of light and heat; store in freezer. I label mine, because I usually have more than one tincture in the freezer...
 
Thanx alot I've been making coconut oil and it works ok for my pain. But have heard good things bout the tincture. I've got some cbd and cbg coming have u or do u think it would be ok to add. Thanx again.

As I wrote above, that's what I do: I add CBD to my tincture that's high in THC. The "slab" I buy from CBDistillery, and it dissolves and infuses into the alcohol tincture. I'll weigh out how much CBD I want to add to say, 2 oz. of tincture. One oz. = more or less 1,000 drops. So I can figure out how many CBDmg I want per drop. So if I add 2gm of CBD to 2 oz tincture, that equals approx. 1mg CBD per drop.

I prefer the alcohol to oil because 1. you can store in the freezer and 2. tincture lasts indefinitely. One always has to worry about the shelf life of oils cuz they will go rancid. I also prefer putting the tincture under my tongue. I know that one of the benefits of the oil is that any kind of fat makes it easier to absorb the good stuff... But I still prefer tincture.

I just looked up in my tincture notes: I used 25gm of bud from four plants to make the tincture I'm taking now: Night Queen, Euphoria, Critical and 8 Ball Kush. The Euphoria is 1:1 THC:CBD around 5-9%; NQ (high THC, high CBD) and 8 Ball (20% THC) are indica, and Critical is one of the many Afghan x Skunk (sativa dominant) hybrids out there, 60% indica. This is my post-op tincture keeping me cool, calm and collected. ;-}

Below are two pics of the first tincture I made back in November with a bunch of sugar leaves from 8 strains. The last two pics are the most recent tinct. I made, and I used buds only, so it's a lot yellower. I put the buds in Koralor silk rosin press bags, which are great for just infusing trichomes minimal other plant matter. http://www.korlor420.com/shop-all/rosin-heat-extraction-filter-bags-100-silk/

Primarily I use those bags when I'm making a concentrate to vape--not a tincture.

shit ATU my tuts were in bloom room before you had surgery and there still in there I think it was 9 weeks under 12/12 but with light leaks so they never grew pistils I would say they were in week five now but IDK lol
 
I just did a round of oil I got 1 10ml syringe pure and 4 with 2 tbs coconut oil ,I just take it at night for sleeping I have yet to grow a high cbd strain to mix in it
 
it was in freezer in barn for awhile I would shake it when I went in to get chicken food ,then I strained it and put liqid in small crock pot over night then check in morning to see where its at and sometime in morning it will be ready then I either tale it like that or mix coconut oil in it just like you taught us ,just one step further
