Hey all just wondering and getting opinions on which medical cannabis strains anyone likes and for what problems .
I am a T10 paraplegic and have been in a wheelchair for 37 years now and suffer from arthritis , spasms, insomnia as well as aches and pains .
I like a indica strain because the Sativa's can be too much head rush and sometimes get paranoid when I use it . I have looked at a few of the seed shops online and can be a little vague about conditions and so far have only grown a few bag seeds from some stains I liked but I never really know what they are .
So I want to get opinions on which strains you like and any other advice from people out there .

Hello medman, my girlfriend and I got into growing medical strains due to spinal and muscle spasm issues. We have used Nirvana seeds so far and all indica dominant hybrids. Papaya, Snow White, Blue Mystic and Aurora Indica are a few we have grown and tried and they all help. We are always looking for the best pain relief in the strains although we have not tried a CBD strain yet. Harlequin and AC/DC are two I've read good reviews on. I'd see what others suggest, read reviews (Leafly.com is a good site). Best advice I can give is save plenty of buds and sugar leaves to make dry ice hash. By far the best pain relief we have ever had to date. This grow we will save all sugar leaves and extra buds for the hash. Good luck!
 
Hello MedMan!!! One thing I really love about https://www.seedsupreme.com is that they have a "Medicinal Seeds" link at the top of the page with "conditions" and "symptoms" you can click on. Then, you can fine tune what you're looking for on the left-hand side of the page: you can choose auto or photo, feminized, high THC or CBD, etc. It's a great seedbank, very reliable and professional.
 
hey med man all good advice above and I have nothing to add on pot seeds but try some nettle for that arthritis its been proven to cut arthritis meds in half so it should help. you can get in any health food store that carries dried herbs. if you can't find any PM me and Ill send you some
 
Thanks jarhead I will check on that as well . I have tries lots of stuff to get off pain meds but I think drs at pain clinics don't want you off meds because they can't make money off you then .
 
Howdy MedMan...hope you're able to find good relief from cannabis. Two high CBD strains I'm growing outside now (from Medical Marijuana Genetics, through Seedsman) are Green Doctor and Nightingale. I'll know after harvests how beneficial they were for my chronic pain. Best to you! 🌞
 
Also pig pharma is in cahoots with all the rest of the medical "corporate industry" and that's why they love to keep people sick. Everyone makes out like bandits--insurance, hospitals, stupid doctors who love the perks they get from pig pharma for pushing their drugs.
 
OOOH, I'll be interested in how they turn out, I've got Candida from MMG to grow after the current one is done.
 
The two strains that I have grown for my pain meds are Aurora Indica and Money Maker. Both are excellent for what you are looking for-the AI produces some primo nugs but it is a compact plant. The MM also grows excellent nugs but can grow MUCH larger so yields are greater. I'm currently growing a 1:1 THC/CBD strain this summer outdoors-I'll be interested to see if it works better.
 
Thanks gebauto I think my next grow is growing to be a known strain bought from a seed store because I don't know what I have now but have been waiting until I don't think I might kill the plant . Also I want a smaller bushier plant because my limited space the one I am growing now has almost over grown the room . I did my first trim at 14" high thinking the 12/12 growing stretch would slow down at 28-30" but it kept growing and had to trim one cloa about 9 inches off the top because it kept growing into the light . and really that cola split and fattened up but only grew about 2 more inches . I do see a few pistils starting to curl and a few more getting brown so hoping to be down to maybe 3 weeks left ? Until harvest .

As much as I thought that I was growing an indica plant I think it might lean a bit over to sativa because the long stretch and lanky limbs . It was from a bagseed plant I grew in soil but had to stop watching the grow from a hospital visit and 3 operations at the last stage of plant growth so really had nothing but popcorn farts but I had to rehydrate them in jars and had absolutely not weight to them . But since they where dried on the whole plant for a few months I still got good results that I need for pain and insomnia . OK getting off subject . here are a few bud shots .
And after looking at alltatups grow which is great looking plant other than when I defoliated I was getting big fat fan leaves which made me think indica but when I switched to 12/12 bloom schedule it jumped from 14" to 40" before growth stopped . So next grow is going to be from a shop and suggested seed from the people here . Oh and the last photo is from my strain because 1 hit from that and I am asleep :)
