Medical strains for anxiety

Anything with critical in it I have found to be very releasing...soothing if you will...

Photos 3 plus months..
Autos 2 months in and out...

Email seedsman...they have great customer support...ask them their opinions as well...be specific.

I smoke to control anxiety as well. Right now I'm smoking sone grand daddy I recently grew with cfl and let me tell you it's wonderfull. After smoking I feel sooooo calmed that I found pleasure breathing deeply. Just like joker said. Those high THC comercial so popular strains just don't get you there

Yay 9 finger !, very good to hear that GDP works so well for you, me too. I used to have most of my anxiety issues at night sleeping but these indica strains really help me sleep better. Dont know what I would do without them., Im headed for some Dr Who tincture right now !😃

wow, thumbless, that is SUCH good information, and thank you so much for sharing--anxiety can wreck your life and those that haven't dealt with it don't really get that. all the best to you.

HI TO ALL ON THIS THREAD and to JOKER: Yes, I have dealt with anxiety all my life as well. Now it's funny because sativa works really well for me: it lifts me up. I think that cannabis interacts differently with each person's chemistry and emotional frame of mind, so I can only share my own experience.

I see cannabis as therapeutic re: anxiety on various levels. It helps me to "go through" anxiety and walk out the other side; it helps me to see that anxiety is an illusion: it is a reaction in the present to a past long gone. I have come to see it, at the age of 63, as a form of PTSD that's been with me since childhood due to family shit. And similar to combat veterans or other sufferers of PTSD, certain events in my present life will trigger past reactions to stuff that went on when I was a child. I've come to recognize that I REACT AS IF I WERE 6 YEARS OLD AGAIN: but weed has helped me incredibly to recognize that today is today--not 57 years ago. That's what I mean by perceiving anxiety as an illusion. Now I know that anxiety is real--don't get me wrong. When one is in it, it's awful.

What I work on is "bursting the bubble" of anxiety to get back into my entire present life circumstance and release the reaction to events from 50-some years ago.

One final word: sometimes when I get reeeeeeeeeallly high, I imagine that I'm getting ready to surf a huge wave: it's exhilirating, a little scarey, but I can do this, just go up to the top of the wave, let go and surf on down into the full bloom of the high. As a friend said to me a long time ago, sometimes ya gotta get on the bed and embrace that anxiety: that's the "go through" part, as is surfing the big wave...

So glad to know that we on this forum understand each other...

No problem sharing. I think many of us suffer from some sort of anxiety and are searching for a solution to calm us down at times. It can really be debilitating.

No problem Joker. A couple more things that really helped was exercise and cleaning up my diet. You just have to look at it as a long term plan and chip away at it. Eventually, it becomes much more manageable. I feel for you two.

I would like to thank everyone for putting there input in. I suffer from bi-polar with social anxiety and depression being my main issues. I agree that indica's are good for anxiety, but in my experience not so good for depression. Sativa's on the other hand are good for depression, but can sometimes make my anxiety worse. I will admit that the brunt of my issues are due to negative thinking (ie people are going to laugh at you, you're ugly, no one likes you, you're worthless ect) which no drug (or plant) can fix. Weed has lessened the severity of these feelings and kinda gets me through without me doing something stupid like slip back into cocaine or painkillers which changed me as a person. Maybe one day i will learn to love myself but until then im just trying to keep myself from doing something stupid.

TL;DR Im crazy, but weed makes me less crazy.

YOU GO, BROTHER TERSKY: We got your back. Whoever gave you the ideas when you were young that you were worthless, ugly, etc. were so wrong. They betrayed you. Let those demons go.

I find your wave metaphor to be a very interesting one. Thank you for sharing this. I will try to remember that today is just today. @allatop

Good for you alltatup.. What a great anology. You hit the nail right on the head.........We're here for you Tersky.

Thank you@alltatup. I have done years of therapy to figure out where i got these ideas from because i grew up in a very supportive environment. Most of it comes from my own thoughts! The good news is i dont believe it most of the time but sometimes i do and i tend to disappear for a bit. But this isn't a mental health thread so i'll shut up...

Thanks for sharing thumbless. It's good to hear that i'm not alone. I have been on medication for bi-polar for 15 years and recently have been going through a medication change. I hate it. Getting off Paxil is literally the worst withdrawals i have ever had (and i've had plenty). I hope to get off all meds and manage through cannabis sometime. It's a process...But thanks for your insight!

I deal whit anxiety from a combat situation. I served in Iraq as a Military police officer, out on patrols etc. so i have been in search of some good strains as well, i have found Kandy kush is a good one to combat depression and anxiety highly. Having PTSD combined with OCD and Panic disorder, i need a regular that will allow me to function and yet remain calm. I have found a few others but i forgot their name as i was feeling so much better from the anxiety.

I would love to hear the oppresses as we both are in search of these strains. Soon enough i am going to start doing trial runs of testing each strain and giving a full report on how each strain effects the body and allows symptoms to subdue. now their are tons of strians out their, so help from others is needed. let me know what you find out as well thanks. also try LSD (drug name) spouses to relax the body, while at the same time it gives the body a energy high, its mostly a Indica. satevias i found out only cause my panic disorder to amplify more then needed in which i need to take an edible or smoke indica.

also look into wax, CBD dominant as this will help reach stress that cause anxiety to rise. given the strain of course, i ran into a very rare wax that came from a plant that i wish i could remember or get my hands onto, something blue and not blue dream.

You can increase the CBD output by holding off the harvest until the Trichomes become increasingly more amber That is true with every strain. More amber, more CBD, less THC, more couchlock.
