Measuring Soil pH / ppm?

Hi -

What is the most accurate way to measure the pH / ppm of an amended soil like Fox Farm Ocean Forest? I've tried measuring both the runoff and doing a slurry test and I get wildly different results. Mostly on the ppm (e.g. 500ppm on slurry test vs 2300ppm on runoff). pH is always usually between 6-7 for both runoff and slurry tests. I'm in week 4 of veg and my plants are doing fine with FFOF and the fox farm trio - just curious what the best way to test the soil is and why the results vary so much? Thanks!

With the slurry you are dissolving a little bit of soil and the nutrients in it. In the runoff you are dissolving nutrients from the entire pot. 2000-3000 ppm is right for fox farms soil
