SOIL maximizing yield with auto flowering strains

Has anyone tried low-stress training or even a sea of green netting with auto-flowering strains grown in soil? If so, what were the results? I cannot handle a 12/12 photoperiod setup in current conditions so auto is definitely the way to go.

I need to purchase a new LED light for my 4x4 tent and am hoping to do better than just okay under the old, lower wattage LED. Suggestions?
