Maui Wowie - quite the resin mess...

My last grow was Maui Wowie. I was a teenager in the '70s. I thought it would be fun. It's some pretty good tasting stuff. Puts a smile on my face. But this is probably the messiest grow ever. After about 4 or 5 bowls I literally have to clean my pipe. There is so much resin on the bowl and the entire pipe that it is just not fun anymore. I take the bowl apart near the kitchen sink and it will literally drip like a faucet on the kitchen sink. I've not experienced that in the past. So has anyone else experience this? With either this strain or other strain. Of course we all have to clean our gear but not after one or two sessions. This is a bit crazy.

That sounds like a good problem to have. My experience is some strains produce more resin than others. It's also the result of a good grow environment along with proper drying and curing, so good job on all of that.

Get some everclear and put it in a jar, drop the pipe in it for a couple of hours. Do that for 6 months and enjoy the tincture

I laughed. A hand rolled reefer is hard to beat, IMHO. I will admit that I switched to tubes (Kasmir420) from rolling my own because the tubes have a filter that keeps the resin off of my lips. Whatever I was growing at the time was a prolific resin producer and my lips turned sticky from it. Tried the tubes and haven't looked back.
