Manifold

I am new to growing and a came across article about how to manifold plant. Currently growing one Mexican haze, but 1st 3 nodes are very short with leaves kind of growing against the soil. Wondering if it is OK to create manifold from 4th set of leaves vs 3rd set? 4th set of leave are very healthy plus not deformed from growing against soil/side of container. Thank you for your assistance in advance.

Some people don’t count the first single leaves as an actual node so they would normally top there anyway. No matter how you count em you won’t have a problem topping a photo there.

I start topping after the 2nd node if ur late or let it go more nodes it’s ok I’ve notice with mine the lower ones that weren’t topped catch up to the chutes that I have been topping.
