Manifold question

When is it “safe” to remove the fan leaf off the main stem coming from the third node site. I have the first node of the manifolds fan leaves out. Didn’t see anything in nebulas tutorial on this, and it’s kind of annoying to work around for the LST (at least to me). Here’s a couple pics of them, I think I’m safe to remove but being my first time I’m trying to be cautious. Thanks

I'd keep them at least until the next topping.
I leave leaves alone when possible early in growth.

Hey Locrian as long as the new growth fan leaves are coming in real good like yours you can go ahead and trim them up

Conservatively:
I use a 2 step proceedure.

I tie/stake the plants down and wait.
Once I get a positive response - I trim the leaves.

This could take hours to a day.
