It's always worth a shot. I have grown some amazing plants from seeds i got the same way. Who knows, the next one could be the bomb? Like winning the lottery!
Maybe you could start several at once then have some chance of getting a good one?

Howdy Davedude, How old is the plant and how long in the 12/12 light cycle? The plant can take from 3 to 6 weeks for the pre flowers to begin to show the sex of the plant. I would give a little more time to see if any pistils pop out, or not.

I hate to say this, but that looks like a male to me, I hope I'm wrong, too.
But you will know for sure in a few more days, or week.

First pic could be a female. Second pic is definitely male. Third pic could be a female. Fourth pic could be a male. Just my 2 cents.

I think some plants are too early. The 4 femanized plants are bushy' shorter, starting to give off odur, I've noticed the males are long stalky and fewer leaves.

I concur with above, I started with 5 plants and watched everyday, and asked questions, 3 were male. I learned as I go. The 2nd is defiantly a male and too early on last pic.
