Male or female?

I'm almost afraid to ask, but is this a male and a female sativa?

They were in the pack of "bonus" seeds that were supposed to be Bubba Kush. I do not think they look alike. The one pictured on the left - for sure - is for sure, a sativa female, but the other is scaring me... However, all those "balls" keep turning into more foliage but also no white pistols are appearing. They are 4 months old and I just set them to 12/12 to urge them to flower 10 days ago.

So the one with 'balls' is indeed, balls? Do you think it has pollinated the other plant yet?

It looks like some of the pods have opened. So chances are that he did.

I took clones from the female on Sept 25th (started July 9th). Is it possible they are salvageable?

I would get rid of the male, but would keep the female. You might have some seeds. But hav'nt you bought weed with seeds before?

Actually, I only remember finding a seed once, when it exploded in my face from the blunt I was toking! Lol!

I will see the female through to harvest but won't be shocked if it's not potent. As for the 4 clones, I will keep one for a mother and raise the 2-3 to harvest, again, with no expectations (they may be okay). There are 3 seeds left in the pack so methinks I'll go ahead and get them started and hope for another female among them.

Thanks for your insight. I'm a newby and this was only my 4th attempt - and failure (1st was male, 2nd, killed by spider mites, 3rd, bad seeds, 4th, got pollinated...). However, thanks to this site, I have learned a lot these last 2 attempts and think the next should yield normally if I can secure some good seeds.

Hi! During my first grow, I thought I had some rando pollen sacs showing up but decided to let them go anyhow. No harm in a couple seeds. This run, I grew clones from the first and no sacs at all. The first run, as sad as it was, was "fire" according to the youngsters, lol. So unless your bad boy just did it to every bud, I'd let them go. But get that thing with the boy-cooties out of there

Wow! Really? You found one seed one time? DAMN! I’m not sure in the last 40 years that I’ve ever had a bag that had NO seeds. I have had some that had very few and maybe a couple times with none but I can’t remember for sure. Average around here here is probably 5-10 in every gram.
