Making Feminized Seeds

SWEEEEET!! Each & every one sounds worth planting!!! You know how I love the Sativas lol.
P.S. I'm really thinkin hard on bringin one of the Lemon Skunk x Strawberry Cheesecake in to get hit by the photo Mango..... Just for shits n giggles & cause the timing is right.
 
Question for all...So ,I've grown blue widow(photo) from seeds twice, never found any seeds. I took 2 clones from the last grow, grew'em out and have found some seeds. That would lead me to believe the seeds are a result of environmental conditions (probably to hot). Am I correct in thinking that there should be a high probability they are 1) feminized seeds and 2) wouldn't necessarily hermie again if grown in better conditions? TIA for opinions
(I did have a flowering hermied durban poison in with the flowering clones--but the seeds do look exactly like the blue widow seeds and not like the durban seeds-durbans are darker colored, so don't think they cross pollinated)

I've never grown anything but feminized seeds and a few auto's. Also clones I started. I've had a few seeds. Grown some of them. All female. Good luck !!
 
1) yes, should be fems if this was the only plant in consideration but the hermied durban poison may be a game changer if it was a true hermie (not a stress hermie). I’m not sure if the appearance of the seeds will be the best indicator of the pollen donor.
2) if you have a good pure female and stress it with silver, changing the watering, heat, or light, etc. to create a stress hermie and use that pollen you will get feminized seeds that i believe won’t necessarily hermie again if grown in better conditions
 
As long as no stranger got to the girls, feminized is what you should get.
The plant that produced the pollen, and made seed with its self is more likely to hermie than the pollen used on other plants.
 
Few things... I did a quick google search on “blue widow hermi” and found many others experiencing the late blooming hermi on this strain. My guess is that it is genetically prone to this feature. That being said, all the seeds you have will probably be prone to hermi too.
Probability would be high that they are feminized, but I wouldn’t grow out another hermi. Not worth the effort. My 2 cents.
Also, it is worth noting that Feminized seeds are bred specifically to grow seeds that are female... the breeding program is what ensures this. Since you accidentally bred these seeds, you should ask yourself... is there is a chance they may have been pollinated by a neighbor’s plant, or maybe pollen clung to shoes/clothes? I would think that they were pollinated by the hermi feature...making them gem. But... do you have the time, space, $, and everything else needed to complete a grow to find this out?
If you do, you are doing better than I am.
Lastly, the seeds will be unstable...meaning hidden traits may come out and they may end up much different then the parents strain.
Start with good genetics, don’t waste your time and $. IMHO.
 
If a certain strain proves prone to hermie there's a good chance it has been bred feminized for too many generations. You gotta have male DNA to keep a strain stable or Nature will find a way & hermie yer ladies.
 
Thanks for all the input guys (gals) greatly appreciated! Toker1 don't really have any neighbors that aren't second homeowners, and they are rarely here. :)
 
Yeah. Pollen is made to travel. It can stick to clothes, and enter the garden with you potentially. It can really come far away and land on a female bud site. . Unless you have a double air lock entrance, specific garden entrance procedures/techniques to rid yourself of any potential intrusions, and are using dedicated clean gowns with Clean Foot coverings/hair nets/and gloves inside the garden... there is a chance for potential pollination.
I’m not saying that 100% is what happened to your plants... just saying the potential does exist. Just something to consider.

Dutch Passion did pretty well with this Cinderella Jack Auto and they were tough to turn, I sprayed more than usual and as you can see several of the lady flowers still made it through and produced seeds in the pollen. The buds are really frosty and get heavy while only having average strength stems, the best yielding plant has broken 3 of her branches and supercropped herself under the weight of her cola. All 3 CJ plants require assistance to keep them from laying in the floor and they're still pretty much just pointing at the ground. These needed a scrog net but only got a yo-yo or two.
