Making carts... Hopefully 😅

Alright, let me give you the skinny first then we'll jump into the fat. I have a ton of trim in my freezer and I would love to turn that into carts. I wanna make carts with my delicious high quality flower. I wanna do it solventless which means, bubble hash (with simple tools). After you get the bubble hash, you dry and then press to get the remaining microscopic plant matter, fats, lipids and other content out. Leaving you with a golden honey that I guess you would mix with liquidizer? (PG 200 & PG 400) Then fill the carts.
Did I get it right?

I tried using bubble hash in carts and it just turned to black goo because of the plant matter. I read that I would need to use a press to get the rest of the stuff out.

You guys think this will work? It's only like $500 for the press which isn't terrible but I don't want to buy the press and then it turns out that this method isn't going to work either and I just wasted my money. I have so much trim that I would love to turn into carts. I been making hash but it doesn't do well in the vape. I don't combust anymore. I just been using it in edibles.
I would prefer to make some carts for my forest hikes. I can't bring my vape with me on the trail😅😅 and I don't want a battery powered dry herb vape. They don't work well. They're also very expensive.

On the bags you can see all the dates from which trim the material came from. It's almost been a year. I wanna use it. I'm sure it probably has some like frost damage. It's been in there a year. I just need to find a good method to process my stuff. I even have a little bit of hash from last year when I did the bubble hash.

Lmk what you think. Is there a better way to go about this?

Do not use VG/PG. For the love of all that is beautiful in this world, do not ruin your fine dope with that shit.

Second the press club. I don’t have experience with carts, but they are a great source of info in general.

I have tried making carts using BHO but without a vacuum oven it tasted like butane. Then a few years later I started making RSO and a friend used to take the syringe and fill carts. She said it worked well but eventually got too dry so I'm thinking, if you could make RSO (filtering very well while it's still liquid to remove plant matter) and then mix the RSO with the PG it may work best and it's super cheap. you'll need a rice cooker and some 99% ethanol. Some people use ever clear but if you can find 99% it works way better

Yeah I just don't know how to separate the plant matter in RSO. I know how to get some of it with bubble hash but I can't figure out how to do it with RSO.

Here're my bits about VG/PG.
It is not necessary.
It is not healthy, if I understand all that media about vape pens being unhealthy.
I have tried it myself and the people I know who have tried it got the same result: separation. It's like a bottle of salad dressing when all the spice bits and oil and vinegar separate and you have to shake the bottle to mix things up. Only, VG/PG/hash don't mix when shaken. Maybe... perhaps... if soaking hash in VG/PG dissolves the trichomes or something similar to what alcohol and butter do, it can be filtered, but not dewaxed unless the VG/PG and lipids are congealed and suspended... I get lost at this point. I'm not sure how VG/PG works.
Anything you use to make a vape liquid needs to be as plant matter and lipid free as possible. That stuff will gunk up the coil and taste and smell lousy. Figure the pros make their juice through a distillation process which pretty much eliminates the lipids and such.
In my ginger bearded opinion, short of distillation, winterization is the only way to make passable vape juice.

I think more of the issue is the fact of the heavy metals being heated to high temperatures which causes them to volatize. I don't think the issue is the PG or the VG It was also the vitamin e acetate that they were adding to it
